The pram is one of the most important investments you'll make.
It goes with you everywhere for the first year and for some families, the second and third year too.
I'm a big fan of the capsule and pram setup.
If you're new to this, the capsule system has a dock fixed in your car (pic 2) and a docking system in your pram (pic 3).
You can pick up the capsule with one hand and move it where you need without waking a (hopefully) sleeping baby.
There is no higher currency than a sleeping baby in those first months, so having to transfer your baby from the car to the bassinet when you get home can make or break your day. That's why I like the capsule, you're less likely to wake bub, which means you've got more time to recover and do everything else in your now hectic, sleep-deprived life.
do capsule rentals. you only need the capsule for the first 6 months max, so that's an option. I think .bunting rent them too.
Most brand-name prams have this option or a set of clips that allow you to do so.
Reach out if you want help choosing.
I have some opinion on brands but I'm not going to publically air them (without sponsorship)

I was chatting with some parents of a 7 week old yesterday. The look on their face when I told them about this tool. Old mate ordered some then and their.
Baby nails grow fast, and they're sharp. Babies don't know how to control their arms so they end up cutting their face by accident.
This tool let's you cut their nails without the fear of cutting off their fingers. To be fair, it's unlikely you would cut off their fingers with conventional shears but heck, the fear is real and the solution exists.
This is not an ad. But if want to sponsor me, I'll take it.

Most antenatal courses are quite rightly tailored for mothers.
That said, there's room for fathers to step up, be trained and discuss their fears. That's why we're developing a dads course to help men get ready for parenting. Course drops soon.....in person and via video conference. Keep an eye out.

Here's what one dad told us he was most worried about before his first child. What's your experience?

We're trying to help new-dads understand that there's a role to play. For every family that's different, but for every dad identifying person, it's important.
