Today marks the Spring Equinox A moment when day and night stand in complete balance 🌼⚖️

These roses are mine, home grown with love ❤️🪴

I give them my time, my care, my energy… and in return, they give me their beauty🌹

Perhaps this is the beautiful balance and energy exchange we find in nature; giving and receiving equally

A rose, also doesn’t question when she should bloom. She follows the sun, drinks the rain, roots deeply into the earth… and opens when the time is exactly right. Perhaps we are also meant to do the same 🌱

We cannot bloom when we are running on empty. We need nourishment, rest, love and a little sunshine on our face and space to simply be☀️

So this season, may you nourish the wild garden within you. Give where your heart feels called to give, and allow yourself to receive too 💐✨

And take the time to stop and smell the roses, noticing when you are part of something beautiful … as they will remind you just how beautiful life can be ❤️🌹

Don’t force a rose to bloom. It will open when kissed by the sun.

And so will you 🌹🌿

As mothers, we spend so much of our children’s childhoods preparing them to grow up, that we never really prepare ourselves for what it will feel like when they do.

And I think that’s what I see when I look at this photo, taken at my son’s High School graduation…

A mother holding on, even though she knows she needs to let him go.

I remember this mother son dance. Looking up at him and thinking, I’m not ready for this.
And now, somehow, it’s his Wedding Day 🤍

Another one of those moments I thought was so far away… until suddenly, it wasn’t.

Today I will look at my son,Wayne, and somehow see every version of him all at once.

The little boy he was, the young man standing in front of me in this photo, and the man who today becomes a husband.

And if I could have one more dance and one more 20 second hug with every version of him, I would.

But today, I’m holding on to love 🩵

I am celebrating my little boy, celebrating the man he has become and celebrating the beautiful love he has found with his soon to be wife, Jaye🤍🥂✨

And wherever you are in your own story today, I hope love finds you there too 🙏🤍 x

The threshold of time ✨🚪

Time is the one thing we can never hold onto. It keeps moving, whether we want it to or not⏳

And I wonder how many invisible thresholds we walk through in a lifetime without ever knowing, in that moment, that we are leaving one chapter of ourselves behind and stepping into another.

If only we knew at the time 🕰️

But perhaps we are not meant to know. Perhaps we are simply meant to keep walking.

And although we cannot take the moment with us, we carry something through every threshold…. the love, the lessons, the memories, and all the beautiful versions of ourselves we have been along the way. 🌿

So what if we stopped saying, “I don’t have enough time,” and started consciously creating space for what truly matters?

And in that same breath, a little thought to ponder…

What if, instead of trying to make more time, we simply made more of the time we have?

Because maybe the magic isn’t in slowing time down. Maybe it is in being present enough to notice ourselves walking through it 🚪💛✨

The first class Greg The Yogi ever attended with me, my intention was this: “What if getting stuck in your head was a wonderful place to be?”🦋

A thought from my own lived experience, offered into my yoga class🧘‍♀️ And to this day, Greg, still quotes this sentence back to me🙏

Recently, I joined one of Greg’s classes. At the end of his practice, he said: “Your voice is the vibration of your soul.” ✨

And that stayed with me. It reminded me how much we give each other without even knowing it. A few words spoken from somewhere we have lived before.

We never really know when someone might need to hear a little kindness, a little love, or simply the reminder that they are not alone 🤍

It made me think of Dolly's Dream: “Speak, even if your voice shakes.”

World Su***de Prevention day, reminds us that there are conversations we need to be brave enough to have. Not just conversations about su***de, but the conversations that might help prevent someone from ever feeling they have to carry their darkness alone.

Maybe changing the narrative begins here. With using our voice, with listening to someone else’s, with being a little gentler with one another. 🩵🌿

Because you never know what someone is carrying… or how much a few words might mean.

The words on the back of my shirt say: “Dear person behind me, the world is a better place with you in it.”

I believe that; and perhaps someone needs to hear it today 🙏🤍

TIME 🤍

“Life happens in the space between one day and remember when.”

I wrote about time once before, when my son left home to join the Defence Force.

I remember feeling how quickly life was moving… and wondering how I could possibly be ready for the next chapter.

And now, somehow, one week out from his wedding in New Zealand, that feeling has found me again.

How did we get here so quickly?

And perhaps this is what time teaches us…

That the ordinary moments we are living right now are quietly becoming the memories we will one day long to return to 🙏

So next week, my intention is to simply be here… for the conversations, the hugs, the laughter, the ordinary little moments that don’t feel significant at the time….
Because one day, today will be “remember when.”

And I don’t want to rush through it 🙏

Sometimes we don’t need a big change… just a little more life in the way we are already living✨

The question we are asking ourselves this month is:

What’s inside of you that you want to bring to life? 🌱

This question made me think of the beautiful poem “You start dying slowly when” written by Pablo Neruda.

It feels like such a perfect companion to this month’s intention. A reminder that life is not just about getting through our days, but about actually living them.

Perhaps the opposite of slowly dying isn’t simply living… It’s coming alive✨

Please enjoy the poem 🙏🤍

You start dying slowly;
If you do not travel,
If you do not read,
If you do not listen to the sounds of life,
If you do not appreciate yourself.

You start dying slowly:
When you kill your self esteem,
When you do not let others help you.

You start dying slowly;
If you become a slave of your habits,
Walking everyday on the same paths…
If you do not change your routine,
If you do not wear different colours or you do not speak to those you don’t know.

You start dying slowly:
If you avoid to feel passion
And their turbulent emotions;
Those which make your eyes glisten and your heart beat fast.

You start dying slowly:
If you do not risk what is safe for the uncertain
If you do not go after a dream
If you do not allow yourself
At least once in your lifetime
To run away from sensible advice

Don’t let yourself die slowly
Do not forget to be happy!
