Our team has come home with an amazing result
1 Gold 🥇, 1 Silver 🥈 and 4 Bronze 🥉 medals!

We couldn’t be prouder of every single student who stepped onto the mats and gave it their all. Competing at state level takes courage, discipline and heart, and our team showed exactly that.

A special shoutout to 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 and 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐲𝐬𝐞, our youngest team members, who trained consistently and worked hard. Your dedication and effort did not go unnoticed, you represented our dojo with pride!

Success isn’t just about medals, it’s about growth, resilience and showing up when it counts. This weekend was a perfect example of that.

Our state team has been training hard over the months, in preperation to compete at the state Championships, held in Brisbane next week.

We have 7 members competing in a mix of Kumite and Kata that have been coached by Sensei Jill, Sensei Neal and Sensei Courtney.

We look forward to supporting the team and celebrating their commitment and effort.

✨2024 Training - start date postponed!✨

Due to the current weather situation, we have decided to postpone the start of training until Monday 10th February.

Days and times haven’t changed from last year, see below.

👉Monday Jnrs - 5:00pm-5:45pm
Snrs - 6:00pm-7:30pm

👉Wednesday Jnrs - 5:00pm-5:45pm
Snrs - 6:00pm-7:30pm

👉Friday Mixed Class 5:00pm-6:30pm

Today, our student Shianna will be representing our dojo and Qld at the national titles in kumite at Geelong.

Congratulations to our state team that competed in Brisbane over the weekend. Astrid, Daniel and Shianna showed great effort and sportsmanship in both Kata and Kumite.

We didn’t place in Kata, but we had some excellent results in kumite.

This morning the state team trained along side the DNBK team and took advantage of Sensei Mark being down to check on technique and to ask questions. We also celebrated Daniel and Sensei Neal’s birthday with some cake!

We have three weeks until States and the team has been training hard. Our DNBK team travel to Melbourne in two weeks to present a demonstration and to participate with other like minded karate goers.

This Friday, Sensei Mark will be in the dojo. This is a mixed class of juniors and seniors.

State team, please bring all your equipment. DNBK training will commence for those after normal training in preparation for Melbourne.

Today, we cooked sausages at Bunnings Warehouse (Fairfield Waters) to help raise money for our state team to compete in Brisbane with the Lions Club International - Mount Stewart

Hi team. Regular training for 2024 will commence 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮 31𝙨𝙩 𝙅𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙮.

Due to the recent cyclone, this gives us a chance to clean the dojo and place back equipment that was removed to keep safe. Some of us are still cleaning around our properties and without power.
