The Kumiai Ryu Martial Arts System family is proud to announce that we've arrived at another monumental milestone – our 33rd anniversary of teaching what we love!
To celebrate the occasion, we're turning our focus to everyone that has helped support this club for many years. A heart-felt thank you goes to every member of this community, past and present, for helping us achieve this significant accomplishment, and to all the parents who have taught their children the importance and value of martial arts.

Term 2 & 3 Timetable for Townsville Dojo

Kohai Les and Chukyu Vicki spent their evening doing some round pad drills, and then finished the night off with some kata and grading practice 🥋🥊💪

Today's class consisted of some slips and parries, pad work and a game of dodgeball 😎 we had a lot of fun!!

Last week we said farewell to our wonderful Sempai Sho Jack, who has moved to Canberra to start his career. He is in the very capable hands of the Kumiai Ryu Weston Creek ACT crew and we're so excited to see him continue his journey down there. We will see you again soon Sempai Sho and good luck!

These awesome karateka spent their Saturday morning smashing out some round pad drills 💪🥋🥊 Great way to start the weekend!

And that's a wrap! 5.5 years at the Ingham rd dojo and it's all cleared out and reset back to how we found it. The last thing to grab on our way out, the picture of our head instructor Hanshi Kevin Blundell. First in and Last out, to find it's place in our new home at 22 Harold Street. It's been great but it's now time for the next chapter! Osu.

The next step in Townsville Dojo's story begins Tuesday night on the path to much bigger things, I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with you all!
