At Phoenix Netball Club, our coaches do so much more than teach skills and game strategies. They build confidence, create opportunities, encourage resilience, celebrate progress and help shape the incredible young people who wear our colours each week.

They are the first to arrive, the last to leave, and the constant source of support from the sidelines. Their impact reaches far beyond the netball court and leaves a lasting impression on every player they coach.

This Coaches Appreciation Week, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every Phoenix coach. Your passion, commitment and belief in our players help make our club the community it is today.

You are developing not only better netballers, but stronger, more confident people.

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Amelia Busuttil on her selection in the 2026 Queensland Gems State Team and Olivia Marson on being named as a Training Partner for the upcoming Marie Little Shield to be held in Melbourne this September.

To earn recognition at a state level is a testament to the hard work, commitment, resilience and passion both girls bring to the court every week. Their achievements reflect not only their individual dedication but also the strength of the pathway and culture within our Phoenix family.

Amelia, your selection is a wonderful reward for the effort you've consistently put into your development, and Olivia, being named as a Training Partner is an outstanding achievement that recognises your talent and potential. We know you will both embrace this opportunity and represent North Queensland, your families and Phoenix Netball Club with pride.

These results are a testament to the hard work of our players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and families who make Phoenix such a strong and successful club.

From our weekly MVPs stepping up for their teams, to our players proudly representing at Country Carnival, this club continues to show what hard work, resilience and team spirit look like.

Every MVP performance tells a story, the extra effort, the encouragement of teammates, the courage to keep pushing and the passion for the game we all love. We are so proud of every player who continues to grow in confidence each week.

A massive congratulations also goes to our Under 18 Phyrebirds, who were crowned winners at the Country Carnival last weekend 🔥

An incredible achievement and a reflection of the dedication, connection and determination within this team. We are so proud of the way you represented Phoenix on and off the court.

Big moments for our club 💚

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the Phoenix contingent selected in the newly formed North Queensland United Netball elite team.

Out of 15 athletes, 6 are Phoenix players.

Out of 4 coaching and management staff, 2 are from Phoenix.

That’s not luck, that’s culture, commitment, and a standard we hold across every level of our club.

Last Thursday, the team officially launched their season, with players presented their dresses by Mayor Nick Dametto, a special moment that marks the beginning of something exciting for netball in our region.

From grassroots to elite pathways, this is exactly what Phoenix stands for, creating opportunities, developing talent, and building people who are ready to step onto bigger stages.
