❤️🤍💚 WHAT A SEASON, WULGURU UNITED FC! ❤️🤍💚

As we wrap up an incredible 2026 season, we want to congratulate every one of our MiniRoos, Juniors and Seniors on a fantastic year! ⚽🐓

This season has been one to remember. We were incredibly proud to see our club continue to grow, with registrations almost doubling from last year! Even more exciting was the growth in our girls’ teams, and we hope to continue building more opportunities for girls and women to play football at Wulguru United. ❤️🤍💚

🏆 2026 ACHIEVEMENTS 🏆
⚽ Senior Division 1 Men – Grand Finalists, finishing 2nd overall 🥈
⚽ Senior Division 1 Women – Semi Finalists, finishing 4th overall 👏
⚽ FQPL U15s – Grand Finalists, finishing 2nd overall 🥈
⚽ Division 1 U15s – Semi Finalists, finishing 4th overall 👏

But our success this year goes far beyond results on the field.
We also held a fantastic WUFC Carnival, welcomed more players and families into our club, grew our girls’ participation and watched our MiniRoos and Juniors develop their skills, confidence, friendships and love of the game. ⚽❤️

A massive THANK YOU to our amazing sponsors who continue to support our local community club. Your generosity and ongoing support help make everything we do possible, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the Wulguru United family. 🙌

Thank you also to our coaches, managers, committee members, volunteers, referees, parents, families and supporters who give their time week after week. A community football club simply couldn't run without the people behind the scenes.

And finally, to every player who pulled on the red, white and green this season — thank you for representing Wulguru United with pride. ❤️🤍💚
2026 has shown just how much our club is growing, and we’re only getting started!

We can't wait to welcome everyone back and hopefully see even more new faces joining the Wulguru family in 2027! ⚽🐓

❤️🤍💚 Congratulations Wulguru United FC — what a season! Bring on 2027! ❤️🤍💚

19/09/2026

A huge congratulations to our Wulguru United FC President on being recognised by Football Queensland – Northern with the 2026 “Protect Our Game Service” Award! 👏⚽

This recognition is a wonderful acknowledgement of the time, commitment and passion our President gives to our club, our players and the wider football community.

Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement, and thank you for everything you continue to do for the Wulguru United FC family. 🐓⚽

🏆 YOUTH PLAYER OF THE YEAR – 2026 🏆

Our Youth Player of the Year is a joint award this year, proudly presented to our U15 FQPL players, Nate Tyack and Dane Newman. ⚽️

Both boys were named 2026 Shadow Players for the Football Queensland Emerging Socceroos Squad, recognising their commitment and development at a high level.

Dane Newman is a Defender for our U15 FQPL team, while Nate Tyack plays Attacking Midfield. Both have shown strong leadership throughout the season, taking on the responsibility of captaining the team at various stages.

They have also been outstanding role models for Wulguru United, achieving 100% attendance at training and games throughout the season.

Importantly, both boys consistently demonstrate our club values, volunteering their time throughout the year at working bees, supporting our grounds and facilities, and helping referee at the Wulguru Juniors Carnival.

Congratulations Nate & Dane on a very well-deserved joint 2026 Youth Player of the Year award. We are incredibly proud to have you both representing Wulguru United. ❤️💙
