🏉 200 SENIOR GAMES – KURT “KP” POOLE 🦢

This weekend we celebrate a massive milestone for one of the most reliable and versatile players to ever pull on a Curra Swans jumper, Kurt “KP” Poole, as he plays his 200th senior game.

KP’s football journey began with the then Alligator Creek Crocodiles in the early 2000s, before their merger with the Curra Swans Football Club, who at the time had no junior program. From there, KP enjoyed plenty of success, playing in multiple junior premierships in the red, white and blue.

The transition into senior football wasn’t always easy, with the club enduring some tough years. But KP quickly became one of the Swans’ most dependable players — a hard-running back flanker who always gave 100%, rarely played a bad game and consistently racked up possessions.

In 2017, KP made the move into the midfield and had an immediate impact, dominating in a struggling side and winning the Senior Best & Fairest by the length of the Flemington straight.

He would later take over the captaincy and help set the standards and culture that ultimately led the Curra Swans to their first senior premiership in more than 20 years in 2020, with KP proudly leading the side as captain.

His contribution to the club was further recognised when he was awarded Life Membership.

These days you’ll find KP running around in the magoos, still finding plenty of the footy and once again wearing the captain’s armband, setting the example for everyone around him.

Congratulations on 200 senior games, KP. An incredible achievement and a testament to your loyalty, consistency and contribution to the Curra Swans Football Club.

Here’s hoping there are plenty more games to come — and hopefully once again premiership captain. 🏆🦢

15th August 2026!
🦢🐶 MEMORIAL ROUND — HONOURING PETER “FOXY” JOHNSON 🐶🦢

This weekend, two clubs come together as one to honour and celebrate the life of a great man, Peter “Foxy” Johnson.

Foxy had a lasting impact on both the Curra Swans and the Thuringowa Bulldogs, leaving behind friendships, memories and a legacy that will always be remembered by both football communities.

While we may wear different colours and represent different clubs, today we come together for one reason — to honour Foxy and the incredible mark he left on us all.

It’s a chance for former teammates, friends, family, players, supporters and both football clubs to come together, share stories, celebrate the good times and remember a man who meant so much to so many.

Two clubs. One great man. One shared legacy.

Today, we don’t just remember Foxy — we celebrate him. ❤️

Forever a Swan. Forever a Bulldog. Forever remembered.

🏉 300 GAMES — CRAIG “CRACKERS” CRICHTON 🦢
A huge milestone today for one of the Swans’ great characters, Craig “Crackers” Crichton, who lines up for his 300th senior game.
A prolific goal kicker with 400+ goals, Crackers has been a constant threat up forward with his craft, footy smarts and ability to find the big sticks. Off the field, he’s a genuine larrikin and an all-round great bloke who provides plenty of entertainment wherever he goes.
Congratulations on an outstanding achievement, Crackers. Let’s celebrate it properly — a few goals and a big Swans win today!

Congratulations to Senior Captain Mitchell Dennis on reaching the incredible milestone of 250 games- running out with Curra Swans tomorrow!

Mitch embodies what it truly means to be part of a football club, a leader on the field, one of our top volunteers off it, and someone who is always willing to give his time to make our club better.

He’s also one of the hardest players to get a photo of… not because he’s camera shy, but because he’s usually moving too fast!

A huge thank you to Mitch and the entire Dennis crew for everything you give to the Curra Swans. We’re incredibly grateful and proud to celebrate this special milestone with you.
