A new breed of toy guns are on the rise, Gel Blasters!!!! This is what happens when paintball and airsoft have babies... you get Gel blasters! Toy Gel Ball Blasters are similar to that of a plastic nerf or airsoft gun, however instead of shooting a foam dart like a nerf gun, or a hard plastic pellet like an airsoft gun, they fire small harmless water balls! Most blasters shoot accuratly to approx 60ft depending on the model of the blaster. The gel ball ammo are non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and are formed after soaking in water for around 4 hours. These squishy gel balls hold there form whilst being fired and then explode on impact. An exciting but safe sport, these blasters are the ideal choice amongst many Australians, and are the best alternative to paintball and airsoft. Unlike airsoft, there is not just one size, the sizes range all the way from 6 to 15mm! This is due to the different calibre's of the Gel Blasters. Most of the rifles and sub-machine guns require 9-11mm rounds, whilst the pistols require 8mm, and some as small as 6-7mm! The shotguns require the largest round, a wopping 13-15mm.

What is the legality of Gel Ball Blasters?

Currently, there is nothing in writing. No law they are breaching or even what fi****ms class they fall into. As some of you may know, Australian customs have been confiscating imports of Gel Ball Blasters, usually classing the items as airsoft guns, which they are not! Australia is a very sensitive country to anything with the word gun in it, and these confiscations uaully come down to ill-knowledge and mis-understanding of these plastic toys.
