Our camp riders had the special treat of hitting the trails this morning. We had the entire camp walk down a section for a short ride. Where we then split off with our little riders turning back around. And our older riders took to the trails for 10km ride. We were also so privileged to have a guest speaker who has competed on the international stage in eventing and 2 olympics. We got to see photos of behind the scenes at olympics and heard about how he got to the international stage. Our riders then headed back onto their ponies for a cross country type session with tips and tricks on how to handle more difficult elements. With ponies exhuasted, parents tired and kids still buzzing with the excitement of camp we did our presentations for results from mini tetrathlon we ran saturday. Mia C taking out highest score across all ages taking home the pony club qld backpack. And just like that 3 days of fun, smiles, riding , ponies and friends became fond memories. We hope they sleep well tonight. Big thanks to Alex Peternell for donating his time friday and sunday including digging a training ditch, talk with kids and how he approaches elements in cross country. We had adult memebers support our trail ride thanks Alyssa, Mel, Kelly and Anita. We had amazing parents support riders on foot (some for the full 10km). Kelly and Anita took groups for poles and cross country. And big shout out to chef chris for the weekend and all our parents that baked extra snacks 😍😍 Cant wait for next years camp already.

6 of our amazing club members have been out and about over the last two pony club comps at black river and even had one of our coaches travel to zone 15 and dysart pony club combined training few weeks ago. Our riders have been coming home with ribbons and smiles each weekend. Well done riders. Showing off our new saddle pads this year. Thanks matchy matchy for making it possible to get such a stunning saddle pad.

PONY CLUB CAMP AT MOONDARGA IS BACK!!!!

3 days action packed of FUN, FRIENDS AND LEARNING.
Give the elements of tetrathalon a go including Archery for the shoot.
Hands on theory sessions, many ridden activities spaning many disciplines.
Cost includes: Food from afternoon tea friday to lunch sunday for child and 1 parent, camping and activity costs including craft activities
Note: Parents camping overnight must have a blue card. A guardian must be on grounds at all times with their child. Parents may be asked to assist in set up of activites and help in lessons.

Wonderful sunday for a third rally this month. Yes a third, you heard that right. After a delayed wet season start we have been catching up. Today we were lucky to have Kelly and Anita coach our riders. From tacking up, teahcing fit of saddle and bridles, different rein holds, ground work, games and a little bit of jumping.
