So a lot has happened in the last 6 months at O’Brien Boats , we launched our biggest build to date a beautiful 68 footer . My Dad Peter O’Brien retired after building one of the most successful boat building legacy’s and for those that aren’t aware the O’Brien Boats business has been taken over by Paul and Karren Phillips , long time friends of our O’Brien family and half owners in O’B 1 , O’Brien Blue Water Charters.
Paul and Karren have myself as a share holder , so the future of O’Brien Boats is in great hands and we are very excited for what is ahead. We have moved to Ross Haven Marina , we look forward to what lays ahead. Cheers Leigh O’Brien

So today marks the end of an era . For this great man my hero, mentor and father .
Peter O'Brien 40 something years in the boat building and marlin fishing industry in Australia. It’s a sad day for you I know but it’s time to slow down and hopefully relax, you have created a legacy to be proud of one that has created some of the most famous marlin fishing boats ever to fish the waters in Australia. Some of which are still fishing the Cairns Marlin Season and have been for many many years .
O’Brien Boats will continue on in the next chapter with our great product and continue your legacy to another level one for you to be proud of .
