🥊 WANT TO BE PART OF GIPPSLAND MAT SPORTS?

We’re looking for people who would like to put their hand up and become referees or judges for the Gippsland Mat Sports League.

And here’s the important part:

You don’t need to be a fighter.
You don’t need to be a coach.
You don’t need to own a gym.
You don’t even need previous combat sports experience.

If you have a genuine interest in combat sports, a good attitude and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking at getting interested locals through the BoxSafe referee and judges courses, giving them the training and knowledge to officiate matches at a grassroots level.

WHY DO THIS?

Because we want Gippsland to become self-sufficient when it comes to running our own events.

We want to build a local pool of trained referees and judges who can help make these events happen.

More local officials means more opportunities for our young and developing fighters to compete right here in Gippsland, in front of their friends, families and local supporters.

It also gives you the chance to learn something new, meet people from across the local combat sports community and become part of something that is growing from the ground up.

You don’t have to want to be a referee for the rest of your life.

You don’t have to know everything about combat sports.

You just have to be willing to step up, learn and have a go.

We’ll help you get started.

First Kids Sparring Event for our Junior Fight Team today !!!

The Juniors all did 3x 2min rounds in the ring - no winners or losers just an opportunity to develop their skills and confidence in the ring.

We could not be happier of how all kids involved in today’s event conducted themselves. All kids showed good sportsmanship, listened to their coaches and looked after each other.

Thank you to all the parents and spectators that came and showed support to all kids competing today, the atmosphere was perfect for them, relaxed, supportive and encouraging.

Thank you to all the gyms that travelled today for this event we appreciate you greatly and feel excited for what the future holds in terms of opportunities in Gippsland

Coffee Van and BBQ Breaky onsite !!!

A chance for the juniors to develop their skills and confidence in the ring in a supportive, controlled environment.

We have juniors coming all the way from Melbourne through to Bairnsdale and would love the support of some spectators from the gym so come down , grab a coffee and a bbq Breaky and support our local kids who have been working hard.
