A huge good luck to four of our Centrals juniors taking the field in the TDJFL Under 15s Grand Final this weekend!

Cooper Howlett will be representing Police Boys, while James Poursanidis, Jack Rankin and Zane Thow will line up for TEDAS.

It’s fantastic to see our young Lions representing their footy clubs on the big stage. We’re incredibly proud of you all and wish you the very best for the Grand Final!

Bring it home, boys!

We love the sounds of summer ☀️🏏

The birds chirping, balls skidding across the turf, and the occasional sound of the stumps getting knocked over.

A big thanks to everyone who joined us for our first week of outdoor training. It was great to be back out there!

We look forward to seeing everyone again next Tuesday as we keep building towards the season.

Centrals is proud to announce Josh Donovan and Dean Rode as our B Grade captains for the 2026/27 season!

As President of the club, Josh already has plenty on his plate, but clearly that wasn’t enough! Josh really enjoys mentoring our younger players and seeing them develop their game. One of the best parts for him is seeing them get their opportunity in A Grade and continue to progress, even if he does miss the banter when they stay up there!

Joining him is club stalwart Dean Rose, who has more than 250 games in the blue and maroon under his belt, along with plenty of boundaries to boot. We’re looking forward to seeing him take on the role.

Josh and Dean bring plenty of experience, club pride and a real passion for seeing our players and the club succeed.

Congratulations Josh and Dean! We can’t wait to see what the B Grade Lions can achieve this season.

Centrals is proud to announce Kyan Doble and Anton Thomas as our C Grade captains for the 2026/27 season! 🦁

Both Kyan and Anton bring plenty of tenacity, drive and passion to the role, and we’re excited to see them lead the side together this season.

Kyan has been a Lion his whole life, coming through our junior program and growing up in the blue and maroon. He’s excited to take the next step and begin his leadership journey alongside Anton.

While this will be Anton’s first official season as a Lion, he’s certainly no stranger to the crease. He brings plenty of cricket experience and a strong passion for developing and supporting those around him.

Together, Kyan and Anton are looking forward to building a strong team culture, developing their players and, of course, enjoying their cricket along the way.

Congratulations Kyan and Anton — we can’t wait to see what you and the C Grade Lions can achieve this season!

A big thank you to everyone who came along to training last week!

It was great to see such a strong turnout across the club, particularly from our women’s team who showed up in fantastic numbers!

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back at training tomorrow as we continue building towards the season ahead.

We are incredibly proud to congratulate our very own Kylie Collins on her selection in the Victorian Over 40s Women’s Masters Cricket side! 🦁

After seven trials throughout winter, Kylie has earned her place among the top 40 and will head to Launceston in November to represent Victoria at the championships.

An incredible achievement and one that is very well deserved. We know Kylie will represent Victoria with the same determination and passion she brings every time she pulls on the Centrals colours.

The whole Lions family is incredibly proud of you, Kylie. We can’t wait to cheer you on!

Centrals is proud to have been at the forefront of the growth of women’s cricket in the Latrobe Valley. Since fielding our first women’s team in 2021/22, our program has continued to grow, expanding to two teams in 2025/26.

It is with great Lion pride that we welcome back Brett Williamson and Anton Thomas as our women’s coaches for 2026/27! 🦁

Brett truly bleeds blue and maroon. A Centrals Life Member, player, volunteer and long-time coach, Brett has been involved with our women’s program since its early days in the Gippsland Cricket League and has since become a premiership-winning coach with the Lionesses. Centrals is also a family affair for Brett, with his father, brother, son, and both daughters having pulled on the blue and maroon.

Anton took the reins of our Women’s Championship side when it was established last season and returns for another year with the Lionesses, with his daughter and wife also playing in the womens teams.

For both Brett and Anton, the highlights of coaching our Lionesses are watching the players grow both on and off the field, mentoring our younger players and seeing them achieve their goals. Most importantly, they love the friendships, laughs and support within the group and seeing the way our Lionesses get around one another.

We wish Brett, Anton and all our Lionesses the very best for the upcoming season! 🏏🦁

If you or someone you know would like to join the Pride, send our page a message. New and experienced players are always welcome!
