VJBL COACHING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our next coaching announcement is for the U14 Boys, and we would like to welcome back Mark Seeber.

Seebs has been with United for the last 3 seasons, taking the U12.1 Boys to VC and NCJ in his first two years, and then taking on the U14.2 Boys this season.

His passion for the United program set him apart, and we are excited to have him back.

Kicking off on October 16, its going to be a great term!

As we head into Big V Awards tomorrow night and our first import heading home today, there's no better time to say thank you to the three imports we had take to the floor this season for United.

Tre, Ice and Breeze all played an integral part in our 2026 Big V campaigns and made an impact on the Gippsland community.

Whether it's for United, somewhere else in Australia, or overseas, we wish you all the best of luck for your basketball future.

BIG V COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT

Gippsland United are extremely excited to announce the appointment of our new Division 1 Women's Head Coach, Gail Macfarlane.

Gail returned to United in 2026, taking on the U14 Girls VJBL role as well as being the AC for the Women's team.

Once the role of HC became vacant with Heath's departure, we started talks with the playing group, and it was evident that Gail had the support from the group and was the best person for the role.

Gaining experience at Nunawading in between United stints, Gail has built a wealth of knowledge which will allow our female athletes to shine, from VJBL right up to Senior basketball.

Joycey has taken on the U24 Boys this year, and with the experience she brings to the U16 group, we are extremely grateful to have her back.

VJBL COACHING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our second coaching announcement is the return of an upcoming coach who took over the team halfway through the VJBL season and didn't look back.

Welcome back to Dellis Humphrey!

Dellis, who was out with a knee reconstruction for the year, sat on the bench with our Youth League team, building his experience and knowledge under Reece.

Already familiar with the age group as he coaches Korumburras U18 Boys, Dellis is a great asset to United.
