While the seniors were out (successfully) avoiding some more threatening rain, the next generation headed south for the weekend for the return leg of the junior intercity classic. Thanks again Baseball Association Townsville for your hospitality and another great series. Until next year 😎⚾️

Happy Friday Baseball fans ⚾️,

This Sunday we will be sharing the Sports precinct with 500 soccer players from all over the place, plus parents and others.
Parking is going to be crazy.
I’m going to open the council boom gate so we can park behind Home-Run fence and enter through gate between Diamond 1 & Diamond 2.
This place will be a Zoo on Sunday so try warn your players on what to expect.

Also.. Complaints department will be closed this Sunday.. so I’m hoping everyone can deal with their own players concerns.

A MASSIVE WEEK FOR ALICE SPRINGS BASEBALL ⚾🌴

A huge shoutout to the Alice Springs Baseball Association Senior Rep Team who have wrapped up a fantastic week representing the NT at the Great Barrier Reef Tournament in Cairns.

The team finished pool play with a 1–1–1 record, putting themselves right in the mix heading into finals.

From there, they produced one of the standout results of the tournament, taking down a strong Cairns side 4–1 in the semi-final to book their place in the championship game.

Unfortunately, the team ran into a quality All Stars outfit in the final, going down 7–0, but there is so much to be proud of from the week.

To travel from Alice Springs, compete against strong regional Queensland teams, make a final, and continue building the reputation of Central Australian baseball is a massive achievement.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, scorers, support staff and everyone who helped make the trip happen. The result is a credit to the work being done in Alice Springs and another great step forward for baseball in the Territory.

Well done, ASBA. You’ve done the NT proud.
