Woongarrah FC is more than a club — we’re the Wildcats Family. 💙⚽️ From U5's to Senior Football, we’re building pathways, confidence and community on the Central Coast. Woongarrah Wildcats Football Club, Founded in 2008 by Kevin & Helen Wilson, the Woongarrah Wildcats Football Club (WWFC) was built on a vision—to create a member-first football community where players and families could feel proud, valued, and supported. Our club was established on the principles of fairness, honesty, and inclusivity, providing an environment where all members, from juniors to seniors, could enjoy football at the highest possible standard. In 2009, Woongarrah FC became the 23rd affiliated club with Central Coast Football (CCF) and officially entered the 2010 competition season. Our inaugural year saw an incredible 418 registered players, 42 teams, and the generous support of three foundation sponsors—Unique Security Group, Raine & Horne Charmhaven, and The Dam Hotel. Since then, WWFC has gone from strength to strength, expanding in size, professionalism, and competitiveness.
*Growth & Development*
From grassroots to elite competition, player development has always been at the heart of WWFC. In 2013, former A-League midfielder Andre Gumprecht joined the club, playing a key role in developing our Men’s First-Grade squad while also mentoring our junior footballers. WWFC has consistently invested in our players by offering:
✔️ Free playing kit incentives to reward early registrations
✔️ Subsidized participation to ease financial burdens for families
✔️ Pathways for player development, ensuring opportunities from juniors through to senior-level competition
Our commitment to affordability, quality coaching, and player growth has made us one of the most respected clubs on the Central Coast.
*Woongarrah Today*
Now, over 15 years later, WWFC is a thriving club with a reputation for community spirit, player development, and competitive success. Our Men’s Premier League squad is a league title contender, while our Women’s Premier League team (WPL) continues to grow, establishing itself as a force in the competition. Off the field, we have secured long-term sponsorships and are actively enhancing our club operations—introducing new paid roles to ensure smooth and professional management. Our Key Initiatives Include:
✅ Long-term sponsorships to sustain club growth (DMC – 5-year Major Partner)
✅ Investing in facilities to enhance the player and spectator experience
✅ Recruiting experienced players like Jacob Melling & Matty Lewis to strengthen our squads
✅ Expanding operational roles to improve club efficiency
Our club mascot, "Roary the Wildcat", introduced in 2013, continues to be a favorite among our junior teams, making matchdays fun and engaging.
