🏃‍♂️💨 KEEP THE WINTER SEASON GOING!❄️🏃‍♀️

There are still a couple of opportunities to get out on the track before the winter season wraps up! 🙌

Mingara Regional Athletics Club are hosting the final two rounds of their 2026 Winter Track & Field Series, and everyone is welcome to come along and have a run, jump or throw.

The best thing is there’s no pre-registration required. Just turn up on the day, pay your $2 and pick the events you’d like to have a go at.

Whether your athlete is chasing a PB, looking for some extra competition experience, or simply wants to get out there and have some fun - it’s a great opportunity! ⭐

Why not get along, support a fellow athletics club and make the most of the remaining winter competition? 👏

👕 Uniforms & 2026/27 Patches

The organisers understand that athletes may not yet have their new uniforms or the correct 2026/27 season patches.

That’s okay!👍

All athletes have a ‘National ID number’, so there’s no need to worry if you don’t yet have your new uniform or patches.

Important information for Region Championships!

�Athletes in the 16s, 17s, Under 20, and all Para age groups are required to enter the Region Championships directly, even if they competed at the Zone Championships.

All athletes who have progressed from Zone to Region in the 8-15s age groups will automatically be confirmed and are not required to re-enter the Region Championships.��

📢 Important Information for Tomorrow

As today’s program was postponed due to the heat and our Head Office safety policy, please see the updated program attached for tomorrow’s events.

⏰ First Call: 7:45am
🏃‍♂️ First Event: 8:00am

🏁 Track Events - Timed Finals
All track events will be run as timed finals.
This means athletes will only run once, and final placings will be determined by comparing times across all heats - not by running a separate final.

If there is an asterisk (*) by your child’s event this shows that those age groups may run together

📊 Live Results
Live Results are now available for track events only.
Field event results will be posted on the green shed, just as they were today.

There will be a protest period tomorrow morning from 8-8:15am in which you can lodge a protest from any results updated after 11:45am today. For field this will be placedon the green shed. For track you will need to ask information if your event meets the time requirement.

📝 Protests
If you wish to lodge a protest, this must be done within 15 minutes of results going live or being placed on the shed. Please go through your Team Manager to do so.

Important Zone Information!

We are aware that tomorrow is predicted to be VERY hot! Ensure you are prepared to be sun safe and stay hydrated.
Information will come through this page as needed as changes may need to be made due to the weather.

⏰Gates will open from 7.15, first events called 7:45 for an 8am start. Athletes wishing to warm up need to be off the track by 7:30am after this you are to only be on the track if you are competing in an event.

🎽All athletes must have their patches securely attached to their Club uniform. See infographic for placement.

📣Listen carefully for announcements. Events will run according to the program as much as possible. Adjustments may be made for the weather.

🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️Athletes must report to marshalling when called. Parents are not permitted on the track or at field events unless they are an official or parent helper.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 All helpers must wear enclosed shoes (no thongs) and arrive for their duty at the first call.

❌Please do not remove your child from an event if their next event is announced. The Clash Manager will collect them as needed. If you have a concern you can go and talk to clash they will be at a tent next to field marshalling.

💵 To lodge a protest, there is a $50 cash-only fee, refunded only if the protest is successful. Protests must be lodged through your Team Manager, within 15 minutes of the results going live.

🥇U8 and older athletes placing in the top three will qualify for Region Championships in Maitland on 14–15 February. If you cannot attend Region, please see information this weekend so the next athlete can take the place.

⭐ Zone Championships are run entirely by volunteers, so please be kind and patient.
