🚨SAS Monthly Scratch Social Comp – Results & Recap! 🏆🚨

Our first monthly Scratch Saturday SAS Social Comp has officially wrapped up, and what a fantastic day of cue sports it was!

We had 13 entries step up to the table this Saturday.
A massive thank you to all the players who participated and made it such a great event!

🥇 Tournament Results & Highlights
SAS Scratch Champion: Gary Mares
Runner-Up: Lochlan James (who fought hard throughout the final with incredible determination!)
High Break Winner: Steve Jay with a high break of 52 (congratulations on claiming the prize money!)

🌟 The Path to Glory: Semi-Finals & Final
The competition was fierce right from the penultimate round:
Semi-Final 1: Gary Mares vs. Dave Foxley
Semi-Final 2: Lochlan James vs. Steve Jay

In a thrilling final, Lochlan pushed Gary all the way, but Gary displayed absolute class under pressure. The defining moment came when Gary played a brilliant, pressure-pot on the blue tight against the cushion, perfectly shaping up for the pink. Though the pink from the cushion wasn't an easy shot to navigate into position for the black, Gary executed it with precision to seal the victory and claim the inaugural monthly title!

Congratulations again to Gary, Lochlan, Steve, and all our competitors. Stay tuned for details on our next monthly comp—we can't wait to see you back at the tables! 🎯🔥

Join us at Mingara Snooker and Billiards Club (and Newcastle City Snooker Club) for the upcoming Central Coast Challenge Handicap Snooker Tournament, hosted by Snooker & Billiards Central Coast (SBCC)!

Dates: September 26th & 27th, 2026 (9:30 AM daily)

Venues: Mingara Snooker and Billiards Club (Tumbi Umbi) & City Snooker Club (Broadmeadow; Sunday finals play at Mingara)

Entry Fee: $60 ($30.00 from each entry goes directly to Ronald McDonald House Central Coast)

Prize Money: Over $1,300+ total across Winner, Runner-Up, Semi-Finalists, Quarter-Finalists, and daily/venue High Breaks.

⏳ Deadline Warning: Entries close last mail on Wednesday, 17th September 2026 at 5:00 PM!

Hi all!!

Just a quick update to our September schedule as there have been a few changes!!

- 14th: all tables will now be free for public use
- 21st: 2 tables used by CCSS
- 28th: 2 tables used by CCSS
