🔵⚪MILES SIGNS WITH THE BEACH⚪🔵

A warm welcome to our new signing, Blake Miles!

Adding to our youth at 19 years of age, Blake is a speedy youngster with pace that can bust the game open. A utility, Blake can be positioned across numerous roles within our side, and we’re excited to see him light up the Beach in the upcoming season.

Coming out of the NWFL having spent the past 5 years with Wynyard, we’re thrilled to have Blake join our playing ranks. His hunger and willingness to compete is second to none and we’re counting down the days before we see him run out in the blue and white, one to watch this season!

Please help us in welcoming Blake to the Beach, we look forward to watching you continue to grow your footy career with us.

A bunch of the mob from Turners Beach FC recently headed north to Cairns for the Mad Monday players trip! 🍻✈️

4 days of laughs, good times, plenty of memories and a fair bit of sunburn! ☀️😂

A great way to wrap up the season and celebrate another year at the club.

🔵⚪RE-SIGNED FOR 2027 | KADE PITCHFORD⚪🔵

Turners Beach Football Club is excited to announce that Kade Pitchford has re-signed for Season 2027!

Kade brings some serious football experience to the Beach. A product of the Devonport Football Club, Kade came through the Tasmanian talent pathway and represented Tasmania at the 2014 NAB AFL Under-18 National Championships, averaging 16 disposals, 5 tackles and 3 clearances across his three games. He also represented Tasmania through the TAC Cup program before establishing himself at senior State League level with Devonport.
One of the highlights of Kade's career came in 2014 when he was selected in the Tasmanian State League Team of the Year, a massive achievement and recognition of the level of football he was playing at.

He went on to produce plenty of strong senior performances for Devonport, including a three-goal game against Launceston in 2015 and earning RACT Player of the Year votes during the 2016 TSL season.

Having someone with Kade's state representative and State League experience recommit to Turners Beach is a great result for the club as we continue building our playing group for 2027. Plenty of experience, plenty of ability, and we're very happy to have him back in the Seagulls jumper for another year.

🔵⚪DIGGER SIGNS ON⚪🔵

After a year off footy, we’re thrilled to announce Dylan ‘Digger’ Bantick has committed to the Beach for the 2027 season!

Digger brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him and will be a welcome addition to our playing group. A quality person, Digger will fit right in at the Beach and we can’t wait to see him run out in the Blue and White.

Please help us in welcoming Digger and his wonderful family Decoda, Braylen, Zaidyn and Amara to the Beach.

Last Saturday, we held our Annual Presentation Dinner, bringing the 2026 season to a close for Turners Beach Football Club ⚪🔵

It was a wonderful night to come together as a club, celebrate everything we’ve achieved throughout the year, and recognise the outstanding efforts and achievements of individuals across the club.

A huge congratulations to all our award winners, and a sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to making the 2026 season such a memorable one.

🔵⚪ TURNERS BEACH FOOTBALL CLUB AGM 🔵⚪

As we wrap up 2026 and start looking towards an exciting 2027 season, we invite all players, members, supporters, families and anyone within our community to come along to the Turners Beach Football Club Annual General Meeting.

This year we’re introducing a new committee structure with one main goal — to spread the workload, get more people involved and bring some fresh ideas into the club.

You don’t need years of committee experience. Whether you can take on a role, help on a subcommittee, or simply lend a hand when needed, there’s a place for everyone.

The club doesn’t run without volunteers, and the more people we have involved, the easier and more enjoyable it becomes for everyone. We want to keep modernising, growing and building a stronger Turners Beach Football Club, both on and off the field.

🔵⚪THANK YOU RICHO⚪🔵

With the Reserves Coach now announced, it brings the end of an era for the Beach where we have seen Darren Richardson coaching in either a Senior Coach or Reserve Coaching capacity for the past 6 years.

Returning to the club in 2021 as the Senior Coach, Darren knew he was entering a tough period for our club. We returned to NWFA competition off the back of the Covid season. The club at the time was experiencing low player numbers, Darren entering the Senior role was aware of this and was up for the challenge to grow the club back to sustainable levels. Which is exactly what we did, fielding two sides every week with new players and returning players amongst the ranks. Richo continued in the Senior Coaching role through 2022, and it was in 2023 he was joined by Peter Wiggers, sharing the Senior Role.

2023 brought finals success back to the club after a rough stretch where we battled away. Under Darren and Wigs leadership, we finished just short of making a Grand Final appearance but knew we had achieved some success with both sides going deep into finals. Richo was back in the solo Senior Coaching role for 2024 and midway into 2025, which was a challenging year for the club. Richo never turned away from the challenge and supported the club in every capacity he could.

Current Senior Coach, Ryan Harding, joined Darren midway through 2025 as an assistant coach as they steered a new group of Senior guys through the remainder of the year.

In 2026, Darren took on the Reserve Coaching role. Helping build and bring together the group. The effort put on display was never questioned and Darren helped grow the knowledge across the Reserve playing group. We thank Darren for his many years of service to our club, his love for the Blue and White and passion he showed throughout his tenure is greatly appreciated. He is respected amongst our players, supporters and the whole of the Turners Beach Football Club.

His contributions will be remembered for many years to come. Any challenge that arose, Darren took it on and never left the club at a loose end and in some of our hardest moments, Darren was there to guide us through. The foundation has been built, and we will continue the path Darren has set for us.

We also want to thank and acknowledge the role isn’t done alone, and that Jo and Jade have been tremendous supporters and helpers of the club, and it wouldn’t be the same without them.

🔵⚪2027 RESERVES COACH APPOINTED⚪🔵

Our 2027 coaching ranks have grown with the Reserves Coach now locked in!

We send a very warm welcome to Tim Thorpe, who has come onboard as our Reserves Coach for the upcoming season.
Thorpy joined the Beach this season in a playing role and felt right at home from the moment he stepped foot into the club. Plenty of footy experience over the years, he will be straight to work in readiness for 2027.

With the playing group we have along with the culture we have built and continue to build, Thorpy wanted to contribute more and help continue growing our family friendly culture and success on the field, which ultimately led him to the Reserve Coaching role.
Thorpy and the club are excited for what the upcoming season will bring.

We’re all behind you and can’t wait to see you thrive, please help us welcome Thorpy into his new role!

🔵⚪YOUNG GUN SIGNS ON IN 2027⚪🔵

Some more great news, we’re happy to announce that Xavier Murray has signed on again for season 2027!

Xav joined us this season and has injected some youth into the group. At only 19 years of age, he is an exciting footballer to watch. Agility, speed and hardness at the footy are only a few of the contributes Xav brings to the playing group. With his pure talent, he has the ability to impact the game and is one to watch next season.

Loved by the club, we’re excited to see how far Xav can go with another pre-season under his belt. Very exciting times at the Beach!

🔵⚪SENIOR CO CAPTAINS RE-SIGN FOR 2027⚪🔵

Great news to end out the week with both our 2026 Senior Co Captains, Wade McLean and Andrew Cooper re-signing for the 2027 season!

Wade who joined us at the Beach in 2021, enters his 7th season, hungry as ever to push the Beach forward and back into finals. Directing from the backline, we are thrilled to have Wade back again for another year.

Coop, a key defender for us, has been a strong and consistent performer since arriving at the club in 2023. Hard at the contest, he’ll make any forwards day difficult. We can’t wait to see him back out in the blue and white again next season.

Please help us welcoming these fellas and their families back for another year, two genuine Creekers who bleed the blue and white! Great work fellas.
