Last night, our team came together for one last team in 2024 alongside the other Student FEIT Teams , and .

Whilst all off our team members were unable to attend, we still had the opportunity to celebrate those who could make it on the night:

A big thank you to our 2024 Team Lead - Cam, and the rest of our subdivision leads - Adesh, Long, Quan, Morgan, Kat, and Jia; for their exceptional leadership and dedication in guiding our team to success this year. Their hard work and commitment have been invaluable to our team’s achievements. We can’t thank them enough.

A huge thank you to every single member, whose dedication and passion have helped bring autonomous another step forward in 2024, from the design challenge car, to SXSW to our push test and everything else in between. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Now it’s time to close our workshop and office operations for the season and give ourselves a well-deserved break. As we say goodbye to 2024, we eagerly anticipate the exciting challenges and opportunities that 2025 holds. Get ready, because we’re in for a thrilling ride!

Recently, a few of our team members attended the ColorSpec Raceway Sydney, engaging in various roles, from serving as Race Officials to participating in the FIA Girls on Track Event.

The experience was rewarding, with team members getting mic’d up for interviews, waving flags, and even marshalling cars.

These hands-on roles not only provided valuable insights into race day operations but also strengthened their connection with the motorsport community.

Overall, it was a fantastic couple of days for our team members, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Last week, our team had the opportunity to come together once again at the FEIT Inter Society Industry Night for Spring, alongside other societies and teams, such as , , , , , , and .

For our team, the event provided an excellent opportunity for networking, allowing us to build meaningful connections with industry professionals and gain valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies. It also opened doors for internships and job opportunities, enabling our members to explore potential career pathways while showcasing their skills and contributions. This experience will undoubtedly benefit our team as we continue to grow and develop professionally.

We are immensely thankful to the UTS Faculty of Engineering and IT and all of the sponsors and business’ that made this event possible, and we can’t wait for the next one.

Last week, our team had the incredible opportunity to showcase our 2024 Autonomous Car at . With our car on display, featuring our advanced steer-by-wire technology, our leads highlighted the innovative features and cutting-edge technology that set our vehicle apart in the rapidly evolving automotive landscape.

The response from the audience was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees expressing their excitement about our progress and the potential of autonomous driving. We were thrilled to engage with industry professionals, enthusiasts, and fellow innovators, all eager to learn more about our project and share their insights.

This event not only allowed us to demonstrate the hard work and dedication that goes into building an autonomous car, but it also served as a valuable platform for connecting with potential collaborators and supporters in the field of autonomous vehicles. The conversations sparked during this showcase opened doors for future partnerships and collaborations that could greatly enhance our development journey.

Last week, a couple of our team members were at UTS’ Open Day, giving potential new students a glimpse into what it’s like to be part of a student team at UTS. With our quarter-scale car on display and engaging conversations happening throughout the day, we showcased the innovation and teamwork that drive our success.

Yesterday at O’Day, our dedicated team members had the opportunity to discuss and chat about the UTS Motorsports Autonomous Team. With our design challenge quarter-scale car on display, we met potential new recruits who share our passion for autonomy and technology.
