Life Jacket Safety Week is in full swing 🦺💛

Running until 7 June, our Learn to Swim students are taking part in fun, hands-on water safety lessons as part of their regular classes.

They’ve been having a great time so far, building new skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Students are learning how to wear and use a life jacket, why it matters, and practising skills they can use beyond the pool — from safe floating to moving through the water with confidence.

A simple way to build skills that last for life 💧

We’re introducing Life Jacket Safety Week as part of our Learn to Swim program from 25 May to 7 June 2026 🏊‍♀️

During this time, students will take part in a fun, hands‑on lesson focused on water safety. They’ll learn how life jackets help keep people safe in and around the water, and when they should be used.
In the lesson, students will practise:

💦Entering and exiting the water safely
💦Floating with the support of a life jacket
💦Moving through the water while wearing a life jacket
💦The ‘help position’ to conserve energy and stay afloat

Students will also learn where life jackets are essential, including on boats, near rivers, while rock fishing and in emergencies 🚨

Not here to play. Here to lift heavy 💪🔥

BODYPUMP HEAVY is for when you’re ready to load the bar, lower the reps and challenge your strength.

🏋Running Wednesdays and Saturdays, this 45‑minute class focuses on heavier weights, slower, controlled movements and longer recovery. Unlike traditional BODYPUMP, it's designed to build strength and support muscle growth through progressive overload.

Ready to take your diving to the next level? 💦

Whether you’re a Learn to Swim student or just looking to sharpen your pool skills, a great headfirst dive starts with the basics.

3 Quick Tips for a Smooth Dive:
🔹 Chin to Chest
Tuck your chin in tight. This helps your body follow your hands and keeps your entry clean.
🔹 Streamline is Key
Reach your arms long and squeeze your ears. Think of your body as a sharp arrow cutting through the water.
🔹 Look, Don’t Leap
Focus on a spot just past the edge of the pool, not straight down.

Safety First: ⚠️
Always make sure you are in designated deep-water areas before practising dives. If you see a “No Diving” sign, it’s there for a reason!

Want to build your confidence and technique? Our Adult Learn to Swim lessons are designed for all levels, from first timers to confident swimmers. Find out more here: https://rpb.li/ecDbkK
