Our little Dolphins are ready for another great season!! 🐬🏉

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Mark O’Brien - affectionately known as Zark.

Zark was a founding committee member of our club & he was a Dolphin for life. Zark held many positions on the committee, as trainer for our inaugural A Grade team & trainer for various junior teams. More recently, Zark could be found helping out on the game day BBQ. Whatever Zark was doing, it was done with a smile that was infectious to all around him.

Zark passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 67.

Our thoughts & prayers are with his partner Wendy, his daughters Lisa, Caitlin, Sarah & his 6 grandchildren.

Last week the Coogee Dolphins donated over 80 Jerseys to Rugby League Federation Ghana for use throughout the Tri Nations Tournament with Nigeria and Roots from America.

The jerseys will now also be used in the 2026 schools and club competitions and are part of the www.1jersey.co.uk/ project that takes kit and equipment to Ghana to help grown the game and give the opportunity to YOUNG PEOPLE, WOMEN, GIRLS and ADULTS in Ghana the opportunity to flourish in sport.

Donated by Ex-President's and Life Members Wayne Hack, Paul Vanni and the Club, the kit was taken to Ghana by old boy Andy Ryan, where he also joined old boy and Ex Dolphin Coach, Andy Gilvary and the national team staff. Rekindling their 2017 Grand Final Dolphins win, for the first time in the Nations history Ghana were able to beat Nigeria.

We are so proud that our Jersey will be worn by so many in another continent for such a great cause 🐬
