❤️🖤 LIFE MEMBER – SAM KINGSHOTT ❤️🖤
It is an absolute honour to announce Ulverstone Soccer Club’s newest Life Member — Sam Kingshott.

Sam has been part of our Club for many, many years. In fact, our records don’t even go back far enough to tell us exactly how many! And we’re told he was a pretty good goalkeeper in his day, too! ⚽️

But Sam’s contribution to our Club goes far beyond the football field.

For more than 10 years, Sam has dedicated himself to the USC Committee, serving as a Committee Member, Vice President, President, and now continuing as Vice President.
Together, we have worked through some of the hardest years our Club has faced — rebuilding, navigating COVID, and working together to move our Club forward to where it is today.

Sam’s contribution has been instrumental.

And it hasn’t just been the work people see. There have been countless hours behind the scenes, including hours and hours in the canteen alongside his wife Kaitlyn, always putting the Club first and helping wherever he was needed.

Sam gave four years as our President, a role that demands an enormous amount of time, commitment and sacrifice.

During those years, he also took on one of life’s most important roles — becoming a dad to two beautiful young children — while continuing to give so much to our Club.

Sam, your commitment, leadership, friendship and love for Ulverstone Soccer Club have made a lasting difference.

On behalf of the entire Club, thank you for everything you have done, and everything you continue to do for our Reds.

We are incredibly proud to call you a Life Member of Ulverstone Soccer Club.

🏆 The Ken Mitchell Perpetual Award

It was a very special moment to present the Ken Mitchell Perpetual Award, presented by Life Member, Ken’s Wid Helen Mitchell.

The award recognises a female player who truly embodies the spirit of our Club by:
❤️ Showing true Red Spirit
⚽ Demonstrating excellent sportsmanship
🤝 Making a positive contribution to team spirit throughout the season
🙌 Volunteering her time to support not only the Club, but also helping our girls of all ages develop their skills
💪 Showing continued growth, determination and commitment at training and in games

The Mitchell family continues to play such a big and supportive role within our Club. It is incredibly special to see Ken’s legacy continue to live on through his family and their ongoing contribution to the Ulverstone Soccer Club.

As the Launceston Tournament 2026 comes to a close, a huge THANK YOU to all our teams, coaches and families for your incredible support of our young athletes.
You have all made us so proud and represented our Club so well, showing great pride, sportsmanship and dedication throughout the tournament.

A special thank you to the many organisers from NTJSA for putting on another fantastic tournament. We look forward to coming back again!
