A beautiful day was had by all at the Aireys Market today 🌿

One of my biggest design goals has always been to produce things that will last a really long time. And our 100% wool Jumpers and Vests are just that. If you haven’t tried wearing them, you’re definitely missing out! We have many people coming back for more year after year. This winter we decided to re-release the Jumper we originally designed and produced 20 yeas ago. I’m still wearing mine from then! So this season we have three colour ways in the Jumpers and three in the Vests. Lots to choose from, a very limited run of only 8 garments in each colour per size. All made locally by our lovely maker Alex in Melbourne and we sew the pockets on in-house. That’s quite a big job! And because we’re winding down for a well earned sabbatical, this will be our last run. 😉 Jump online to check them out. Honestly, they will last you a very long time. They’re natural, odour resistant, biodegradable and incredibly warm. I’ve never really tried to explain just how good I think these garments are. I’d rather they sell themselves. But wool can’t speak, so here I am speaking up for it! I know not everyone loves wool but if you do, please check them out, I think they’re pretty damned good 🐏

After 32 years, I have made the decision to close Nicola Cerini.

This is news I have pondered for some time, and now I’m ready to share it. I am stepping away from the business to focus on family and to follow some new creative paths — including a small exhibition in September (more on that soon).

This is not a farewell to creativity. It is a chapter closing, and a new one beginning.

What it does mean: this is the last opportunity to own pieces from my collections. I won’t be going on sale — what I am offering is a final, unhurried chance to choose something made with care, before the doors close for good.

Our Newtown showroom closes Saturday 25 July. The online store closes Friday 31 July.

We also have very limited stock of our Acacia and Banksia rugs in-store and online — these will not be restocked.

And — one last thing — we are taking final orders for our custom woollen floor rugs until the end of July. These take four months to produce, with delivery in late November/early December.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. To every customer, every supplier, my extraordinary staff (some of whom I have worked with for over 20 years), and to my dear family and friends — without you this business would not have lived and breathed for 32 years.
