⚫️⚪️ SENIOR COACH APPOINTMENT — SHAUN FINLAYSON ⚫️⚪️
The Clunes Football Netball Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Shaun “Sheepy” Finlayson as Senior Coach for the 2027 season.
Over the past two seasons at Clunes, Shaun has made an outstanding contribution both on and off the field. Alongside applying his craft in the ruck, he has established himself as a respected on-field leader and valued assistant coach. His strong relationships with our playing group, football knowledge and genuine commitment to the club make him the ideal person to lead our Senior program into its next chapter.
Shaun brings an impressive football resume to the role. A premiership player, with career highlights which include selection in the CHFL Team of the Year and representing the league at interleague level.
His coaching credentials are equally impressive, highlighted by leading Lake Wendouree’s Under-19 team to a premiership before joining Clunes as a senior playing assistant coach.
A key focus of Shaun’s vision is building a genuine “United as One” culture across the entire Clunes FNC. His approach will be centred on shared standards, accountability, respect and a willingness to work together. He understands that success at Clunes is built on more than what happens on game day. It is shaped by the way our players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters connect and support one another whilst representing the black and white.
“Sheepy” is incredibly excited to get to work, and we look forward to seeing the leadership and direction he will bring to our playing group and the wider club community.
