This C50 Sports Cabriolet is hand crafted for Australia’s love of sun, sea and fun, and its stylish appearance would look very much at home in any of the glamorous European ports along the Mediterranean coast.
From the electronic sliding glass sun-roof right down to the hydraulic transom garage door near the waterline – the C50 is also brimming with innovation.
At sea, this C50 powers effortlessly to a cruising speed of 25 knots. Yet all this power requires remarkably little fuel. Designed with an advanced variable deadrise hull, engines and fuel tanks over the centre of buoyancy, and a miniscule shaft angle of just 9 degrees, this C50 has incomparable poise and balance - and is more economical as a result.
To ensure you enjoy the ride, this C50’s climate-controlled interior provides every luxury, whether you’re partying in the saloon or relaxing in the three-cabin, two-bathroom sanctuary below.
Outdoors, a sleek hardtop extends over the cockpit to create the perfect spot for alfresco entertaining, while Maritimo’s trademark walk around decks provide secure, easy access to a foredeck sun lounge built for two.
There’s a shower on the transom for rinsing off after a dip.
The accommodation has the benefit of powerful climate-controlled air-conditioning, but the alternative fresh air is abundant.
Sliding glass doors open up almost the entire rear to the cockpit, the powered skylight opens a big share of the roof, and sliding glass does the same for the side windows.
The galley is immediately inside the rear doors and conveniently positioned near the vast dinette.
The galley fit-out features a four burner cook top, a microwave oven, dish washer draw, fridge-freezer, instant boiling hot water tap and masses of storage.
The dinette seats eight without cramping around a dining table that folds ingeniously to coffee table size.
As an alternative to dining, a 32-inch flat screen TV will emerge to order opposite the seating.
Perhaps more important than the opportunities when seated, the open deck area of the saloon is big enough to handle substantial numbers of guests standing and socializing.
The cockpit is on the same level as the saloon and in many ways duplicates its facilities.
There is a fridge and ice maker and in the transom console is an icebox that could double as a catch tank.
There is also a sink in there and, reached from the rear platform, an electric barbecue.
The whole area is covered by a fabric awning extending aft from the hardtop that puts the aft settee well within the shade.
There is no end to the wonders of the transom area. An extension to the platform raises and lowers hydraulically to launch and retrieve the tender and, with more button pressing, the console and a large part of the platform raises to expose the tender’s garage.
The cockpit is a natural spill-over for the saloon, adding up to enough room to take twenty or thirty guests with spare elbow room, but the cockpit is roomy in its own right.
Plenty of space for divers to kit up, fishing or for the kids to play on, the platform is a great extension of the boats deck.
This C50 has broad and shallow steps from the cockpit to the side decks, which in turn are wide enough for easy transit and are provided with excellent grab rails as well as side rails. Once on the foredeck you have the use of a double sun bed.
Below decks are three sleeping cabins and two bathrooms. The owner’s cabin has the luxury of a large window positioned for eyes at pillow level. It also has features blinds.
The fit-out, like the whole of the boat, does not over-emphasise timber and is suitably restful – as is the queen size bed. The wardrobe is big enough for a couple who believe in being prepared for any occasion, and the ensuite bathroom is a great size.
The double cabin forward is similar in size and features two high level windows as well as a skylight, and has two large wardrobes. It shares a bathroom as large as the owner’s with the twin cabin.
The win cabin features another large and low window, and has the second bed making an L with the first, making use of space below the stairway.
Driving and manoeuvring on differential power is crisp with the Maritimo C50.
It also has both a bow and stern thruster fitted.
The excellent vision from the driving seat helps manoeuvring, and a windscreen wiper for every forward segment of glass ensures vision stays good.
The vessel also includes a high output stereo, satellite TV which is Foxtel ready, a rigid inflatable tender, a 17.5KvA generator, twin Raymarine E120 GPS, closed array radar, VHF radio, autopilot, remote Yacht Controller, chain counter and depth sounder.
This vessel is a must to inspect.
