A SPECIAL NIGHT AT THE GULLY ❤️
Last night, we held a very special presentation as we proudly inducted two new Life Members of Spring Gully United Soccer Club, Simon Smith and Siobhan Thompson! ❤️🤍
A well-deserved honour recognising their dedication, commitment and contribution to our club over the years.
Congratulations, Simon and Siobhan, on this incredible achievement and thank you for everything you have given to the Gully! 👏🏼
❤️ 2026 LIFE MEMBER – SIMON SMITH ❤️
Over the past 15 seasons, Simon Smith has made an incredible contribution to Spring Gully United Soccer Club, leaving a lasting legacy both on and off the pitch.
From coaching our Men’s and Women’s teams to serving as Club President, Simon has worn many hats at Gully, always giving his time, leadership and passion to support the club and its people.
His impact on our Women’s program has been particularly significant, helping rebuild the team into a successful, united group that famously achieved the only treble in club history in 2024. His dedication has extended far beyond coaching, with countless hours spent supporting players, volunteering behind the scenes and stepping up wherever he was needed.
For Simon, Gully has become much more than a soccer club — it’s a second family. His commitment, generosity and unwavering support have helped shape the club we are today.
❤️ 2026 LIFE MEMBER – SIOBHAN “BON” THOMPSON ❤️
From joining Gully as a thirteen year old to becoming one of the club’s most dedicated volunteers, Siobhan “Bon” Thompson has been an integral part of Spring Gully United Soccer Club for almost two decades.
Bon’s contribution to Gully extends far beyond the pitch, with nine years on the General Committee and numerous roles supporting the club’s growth and success.
From serving as Vice President and coordinating junior fixtures and teams, to managing kits, coaching junior teams (and one senior game with a famous win), supporting our Senior Women’s program, organising events, capturing capturing club memories and managing our social media and website, Bon has given countless hours to making Gully the club it is today.
Her dedication, commitment and willingness to take on the jobs that often go unseen have helped strengthen our club culture and create a welcoming community for players, families and volunteers alike.
Bon’s journey with Gully is a true reflection of what it means to be part of our club, and her contribution over the years deserves to be celebrated.
Please join us in congratulating Simon Smith & on Siobhan “Bon” Thompson on becoming a Life Member of Spring Gully United Soccer Club! ❤️🤍
A well-deserved recognition for two people who have given so much to our Gully family.
