🎯 ALBURY “100” PRIZE MEETING – WHAT A WAY TO FINISH! 🎯

Yesterday, we mentioned that Peter McCashney was competing in what was expected to be his final competition before “retiring” from shooting, having already sold his equipment.

Well, what a way to finish! 🏆

Congratulations to Peter, who has taken out the Albury “100” Benchrest competition outright, finishing just two points ahead of fellow FPTRC member Dean Romanoff, who secured an outstanding 2nd place!

If you were looking for a fairytale finish to a shooting career, it doesn't get much better than that. Peter, you couldn't have scripted it any better! 👏🎯

🥇 A HUGE WELL DONE TO ALL OUR FPTRC MEMBERS!

To everyone who made the journey to Albury and competed across the various disciplines over the weekend, congratulations on your efforts.

You have not only done yourselves proud but have represented Frankston Peninsula Target R***e Club exceptionally well, flying the Frankston flag with some fantastic results along the way.

It is always pleasing to see our members travelling throughout Victoria during the year to support other clubs, compete against fellow shooters and contribute to the wider target shooting community. These weekends are about more than just results; they are also about camaraderie, sportsmanship and maintaining the strong connections between clubs.

Once again, thank you to everyone at Albury Small Bore R***e Club for hosting another fantastic competition weekend that was thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended.

The effort required to organise and run a prize meeting of this size should never be underestimated. With just five 50m shooting bays, delivering an event of this scale is no mean feat, yet it remains a popular fixture on the annual shooting calendar.

That is a true testament to the dedication, organisation and hard work of your members, both behind the scenes and on the range.

From all of us at FPTRC, thank you for your hospitality and for continuing to put on such a great event. We look forward to returning again!

And finally, Peter, congratulations once again on an outstanding result and a memorable way to bring your shooting career to a close. Whether retirement lasts forever or you eventually get the itch to return, you've certainly left on a high! 😄🏆

🎯 ALBURY “100” PRIZE MEETING – MORE RESULTS! 🎯

The accolades keep coming for Frankston Peninsula Target R***e Club, with more fantastic results rolling in from the Albury “100” Prize Meeting!

🏆 50m Benchrest

Another outstanding performance from Dean Romanoff, who took out today’s Benchrest competition despite some challenging conditions! 👏

His wife, Julie Romanoff, also put in a respectable performance, finishing in 5th place.

A special mention goes to Lachlan Schafer, who claimed the C Grade win, narrowly edging out Tony O’Donoghue. This gives Lachlan another great result after Tony secured the C Grade silver medal yesterday.

To top it all off, Lachlan also took out Sub-Junior today! 🥇 A fantastic effort and a great result for one of our younger competitors.

🎯 50m Prone

In today’s Prone competition, Ken Hart finished in 5th place, with Sean Finn taking 7th.

Sean also added another achievement to his weekend, securing B Grade silver from yesterday’s competition. 🥈

🎯 ALBURY “100” PRIZE MEETING – SUPPORTED AIR R***E RESULTS 🎯

The results are in for the 10m Supported Air R***e competition at this weekend’s Albury “100” Prize Meeting, and there’s more great news for Frankston Peninsula Target R***e Club!

🏆 Congratulations to Dean Romanoff, who took out the Supported Air R***e competition with an outstanding performance!

🥈 Henry Lieng also delivered a fantastic result, finishing in 2nd place, while Bree Neve rounded out a strong showing for FPTRC with an impressive 4th-place finish.

👏 Four members representing our club including John Dick and two finishing on the podium — a fantastic outcome for FPTRC in the Air R***e Shed!

It’s great to see our members achieving such strong results across multiple disciplines throughout the weekend. Congratulations to Dean, Henry and Bree on their performances!

🎯 ALBURY “100” PRIZE MEETING – AIR R***E UPDATE 🎯

Some more results are coming through from the Albury “100” Prize Meeting, with the 10m Air R***e Standing competition now completed!

While entry numbers were a little on the lighter side, it was great to see some familiar faces taking to the Air R***e range.

One notable highlight was the return of Sean Finn to the Air Shed, making his first appearance back on the air r***e range in almost 12 months! It’s always good to see members getting back into the action, even if it takes a little while to find their feet again. 😄

Congratulations to everyone who competed, and stay tuned as we bring you more results from our FPTRC members throughout the weekend as there are still a couple of Supported Air competitors to complete their match!

🎯 A GREAT INITIATIVE FROM ALBURY SMALL BORE R***E CLUB! 🎯

A fantastic initiative from Albury Small Bore R***e Club at this weekend’s “100” Prize Meeting, giving competitors an extra incentive to chase those perfect shots!

Shooters who achieved a 10.9 in 50m Prone or 10m Air R***e (Standing or Supported), or two 10.9s in 50m Benchrest, earned themselves a special-edition badge or stubby holder. 👏

It’s a great way to recognise those exceptional moments on the range and give competitors a little something extra to take home as a memento of their achievement.

🏅 Congratulations to our FPTRC members Bree Neve, Peter McCashney, Ken Hart and Dean Romanoff, who were fortunate enough to earn themselves one of these special awards!

Well done to all four members, and a big thank you to Albury Small Bore R***e Club for introducing such a fun and memorable initiative. It’s these little touches that help make prize meetings even more enjoyable for everyone involved.

🎯 ALBURY “100” PRIZE MEETING – DAY 1 RESULTS 🎯

The results are in from Day 1 of the Albury “100” Prize Meeting, and there are plenty of reasons for FPTRC to celebrate!

🏆 50m Benchrest

A huge congratulations to club member Peter McCashney, who has taken out today’s 50m Benchrest competition!

This result makes the occasion even more special, with Peter currently competing in what is expected to be his final competition before retiring from shooting. Having already sold his equipment, Peter is enjoying his swan song tour, and what a way to make the most of it by claiming a competition win during his penultimate outing! 👏

Congratulations also to fellow FPTRC members Henry Lieng, finishing 2nd outright, and Ken Hart, taking 3rd place.

🎯 GOOD LUCK TO OUR FPTRC MEMBERS HEADING TO ALBURY! 🎯

It’s shaping up to be a big weekend of competition, with strong entry numbers for the final TRV Prize Meeting of the season, hosted by the Albury Small Bore R***e Club this weekend!

Around 11 FPTRC members will be making the trek up the Hume Highway, representing our club across a range of disciplines over Saturday and Sunday.

Our members will be competing in:
🎯 50m Benchrest
🎯 50m Prone
🎯 10m Air R***e Standing
🎯 10m Air R***e Supported

Some will be taking on multiple disciplines across the two days, making for a busy weekend of competition, camaraderie and, hopefully, some great results!

On behalf of everyone at Frankston Peninsula Target R***e Club (FPTRC), we wish all our members the very best of shooting. May your shots find their mark, your scores keep climbing, and your travels be safe both there and back! 👏

A little clarification about our members… 👇

We quite often receive comments along the lines of “Person X or Y is actually a member of another club, not FPTRC.”

And yes, that may be true — some of our members may have another club as their nominated primary club of membership.

But here at Frankston Peninsula Target R***e Club, we look at it a little differently.

If you have paid your membership fees to FPTRC, or you are a Life Member, then you are a member of FPTRC. Simple as that. ❤️

It doesn't matter whether FPTRC is your primary club, your secondary club, or another club you belong to alongside us.

You're still one of us.

We are proud to celebrate the achievements of ALL our members, whether they're shooting at an FPTRC event, representing another club, competing at State or National level, or simply enjoying their shooting.

So when one of our members achieves something, we'll continue to recognise and congratulate them — because to us, all FPTRC members are equal.

We're a club made up of individuals who may have connections to many clubs across Victoria, but once you're a member of FPTRC, you're part of the FPTRC family. 🤝

And that's something we're pretty proud of.
