Our life member Olivia Sandery did us all proud this morning 💚💛💚💛

She finished 14th in the 35 km race walk at the WORLD championships during brutally hot and humid conditions in Tokyo.

Olivia joined our club after racing in Little Athletics and has gone on to produce some amazing results on the world stage!

She was also joined in Tokyo by coach Jared Tallent and our esteemed SARWC racewalking judge Zoë Eastwood-Bryson!

We held our final race of the season - Guess Your Time - as well as our AGM and season presentations today! Congratulations to every athlete that competed this season - not just those that were presented with awards. SARWC had a very successful season this year, but our members will be in action over the summer at the Athletics SA and Masters SA competitions.

Great to have our winter season underway! Some new faces and some very good times.

Congrats to Liliana Templer for walking 7:44 for 5th at ALACs this morning and Orlando Grantham for walking 8:26 for 5th.
Rain and Nelllie also walked at the Australian university champs during the week as well!

Next week we have program 10 including the yacht handicap Knight and Campbell shield. Enter here https://www.racewalking.com.au/enter-events before 10am Saturday.

From now on anyone who doesn't enter before 10am will not be lap scored or included in results. This is to ensure volunteers are not overloaded and then make mistakes. To keep the competition running smoothly entries need to be made on time so lap scorers can be planned appropriately.
