More is not better.

Most of my coaching doesn’t happen in the studio.

It happens in a Monday check-in after the weekend’s gone sideways, In a quick voice note between sessions or in a message when someone needs to hear they haven’t undone everything.

The sessions matter.

But the habits, the confidence and the consistency get built in all the hours after you walk out the door.

That’s the part I care about most.

What’s the one thing you wish you had support with right now? 👇

You’ll replay a missed session in your head for days.

But the 6am session you dragged yourself out of bed for? Forgotten by lunch.

That imbalance is what quietly stalls your progress. Not a bad program, Not a lack of motivation, The only feedback you ever give yourself is negative.

So flip it:
- Missed it? Own it, move on.
- Did it? Celebrate it just as hard.

Turning up on the days you didn’t want to IS the win. Start treating it like one.

👇 Drop one win from this week in the comments, big or small.

Her energy had tanked and the scale had stopped moving, So we bumped her food intake up.

Coming out of a deficit and back towards maintenance does two things:
1. It gives her body a chance to recover
2. It fuels her training so she can keep moving forward.

Sometimes the water held through a dieting phase starts to shed too, and the scale shifts while she’s eating more.

Dieting is a phase. You go in, and you come out when your energy, your training and the scale tell you to.

Have you ever hit a stall and been told to eat less?

Four people with full-on jobs and messy weeks.

A council worker on full-time hours.
A business owner who puts his health first.
A barber who’s flat out from open to close.
A sparky on a full-on schedule.

All of them knew what they should be doing. That was never the problem, making it stick was.

So we didn’t add more. We fitted the few habits that matter into the week they actually have, trained them properly on top, and kept it simple enough to last.

This is what that looks like.

Which one sounds most like your week?

You don’t need more motivation. You need a cue.

I had a client who lost the argument with themselves most afternoons. Should I go, am I too tired, I’ll go tomorrow. So we stopped trying to fix the motivation and gave them three things to do before every session instead.

1. Get into your gym clothes. Don’t think about going, just get changed.
2. Eat the same pre-workout snack. Something simple and carb-based, like fruit.
3. Play the same song. It doesn’t matter which one.

It’s called anchoring. Do the same three things enough times and your body starts to read them as “we’re training now”. The decision is already made before you’ve had time to talk yourself out of it.

Motivation follows routine, not the other way around.

What’s your go to song?

“I don’t have time” is rarely the real problem.

The real problem is thinking it has to be all or nothing: an hour in the gym or nothing at all, a perfect week of meal prep or takeaway every night.

That’s not how progress works. A little bit of something still moves you forward:

- Can’t do an hour at the gym? Do 15 minutes as hard as you can.
- No time for a 45-minute walk? Do the hardest 15-minute walk of your life.
- Stuck at a desk all day? Do 10 squats or 5 push-ups every hour on the hour.
- Can’t meal prep the whole week? Make one meal healthier than it is today.

You’ve got the same 24 hours as everyone else. You don’t need more time. You need to stop waiting for the perfect amount of it.

What’s one small thing you can do today?

The 3pm crash usually isn’t a 3pm problem, it’s a 7am one.

How you start the day sets the ceiling for your afternoon.

Three things I’d do every morning:

1. Eat a proper breakfast: protein + carbs. Running on coffee alone means you’re running on empty by mid-afternoon.

2. Drink 500ml–1L of water when you wake up. You’ve just gone 7–8 hours without any.
Most people are behind before they’ve left the house.

3.Get sunlight early. It gives you that natural morning lift, and it sets your body clock so you sleep better that night. That means more energy tomorrow too.

None of these are extreme. That’s the point: they still work on a bad week.
