Our 10-12yrs Girls Cricket Team are STATE CHAMPIONS!
Even better, we're bringing the trophy home for a second consecutive year.
The girls played outstanding cricket throughout the tournament, dominating across all three preliminary day rounds (6 x T20 matches). It was a true team effort, with our batters, bowlers, and wicketkeepers all making significant contributions. Their skill, composure, and teamwork were evident in every match.
The final day provided an extra challenge, with rain, strong winds, and cold conditions causing a delayed start and the girls playing a reduced 40 overs match (22 overs). The girls showed tremendous resilience and teamwork, digging deep to chase down South Coast's total with three overs to spare, just before the heavens opened once again.
The team officials Danny and Kelli could not have been prouder of this group. Their commitment, sportsmanship, and support for one another were exemplary throughout the tournament. They represented their schools and region with distinction, consistently displaying respect, maturity, and a genuine love for the game.
Perhaps the most telling endorsement came from the umpires following the Grand Final, who commented that they had never seen the standard of 12-year-old cricket played at such a high level. That is a wonderful reflection of the talent, hard work, and character of this remarkable group of girls.
Thank you to our wonderful Team Officials for their support and work with this team. 💙🤍🏆
