A day I won’t forget...yesterday I had the privilege to spend a few hours with 9 year old fellow left hander and star of the future “Cooper Sutton”. His story is why the sport and our clubs work so hard to provide a wonderful game and inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy.

Cooper has NO family that plays bowls...he saw it on TV....he was watching the UBC with his dad...Cooper told his dad that he loves watching bowls and wanted to give it ago. He’s now been bowling for 15 months and absolutely loves the game..he’s a member at Urangan in Harvey Bay.

His mum & dad support him and his love for the game. Coopers Mum reached out to me a few months back to set up a lesson as I’m his favourite player 🤗 we had a great time talking all things bowls.

He loves his new Jackaroos cloth and Bowls Australia badges along with a Burleigh Bowls hat. I’m looking forward to following Coopers progress and I’m sure he will play on TV too one day
