Club Urunga

Club Urunga Club Urunga brings together food, bowls, raffles, live music & more for the community & visitors! By 1954, our ladies’ club was open.

Our club was built in 1952, and the first trial bowls game was held by the men’s club in 1953. Ever since, our club has grown more popular with every passing year. We purchased land for a second bowling green in 1969 and have recently renovated and refurbished our facilities. Today, Club Urunga is about much more than bowls. Our East Garden Restaurant serves a delicious mix of Australian and Chinese cuisine to visitors and members alike. With two bars, a children’s playground, barbeque facilities, and plenty of entertainment options, there is something going on almost every day. We have 2 carparks available for members and guests. They are situated on either side of the club on Orara and Newry Streets. Parking is free of charge to all club patrons.

The Urunga Wetlands are a great spot if you’re looking to get out for a quick walk. The recycled-plastic boardwalk makes it an easy stroll, and it’s a nice way to spend an hour or so away from the hustle and bustle. It’s quiet, accessible, and a good reminder of how beautiful our local environment is.

At Club Urunga, we know some of the best conversations can happen in the simplest moments. Over a cuppa, across the table, while having a meal, or catching up with a mate.

Today is a reminder to take a moment and genuinely check in with the people around you.

Sometimes, simply giving someone the time and space to talk can make all the difference.

Start with a flutter at Wednesday’s raffles, gather your smartest mates for Thursday Trivia, then clock off on Friday and settle in for Superstrait live from 7:30pm. 🎶

And don’t forget the Cash Climb Members Draw, happening Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 6:30pm & 7:30pm, with the jackpot climbing if it isn’t won. 💰 Jackpot starts from an impressive $2,500.
