Another fantastic day at the Magpies’ Nest yesterday for the NRL Grand Final! A fun afternoon of bowls followed by yummy burgers and of course watching the game.
Many thanks to those in our wonderful community who organised the afternoon, prepared the food, and also to those who ran our NRL tipping competition.
And congratulations to Glenn for winning the tipping comp 🙌🏻

Apologies to those who did not receive our club newsletter this week. It was sent out on Thursday as per usual, however, all of the bigpond.com email addresses have bounced for some unknown reason 😔
Highlights from the newsletter: Membership draw is still at $1500 (did not go off again tonight), Community Bowls starts next Friday night and we only have room for 4 more teams, Melbourne Cup Luncheon tickets will be on sale very soon at the bar for $55 (more details to follow).
Hopefully it will be working next week 🤞

A fantastic effort by Div 10 today but unfortunately we were out bowled by a very good Mt Gravatt side. Congratulations Mt Gravatt Bowls Mustangs on your success!
Congratulations Magpies on a wonderful season and making it to the Final!! 🙌🏻 it was great to see you smiling and fighting until the end and it was great to see so many supporters there to cheer them on. Well done Magpies 🤍🖤
