The referee chalked the goal off for an apparent offside, despite Aussie right-back Carpenter literally standing IN FRONT of the defender.

Some of you may be aware, but last week the the world lost another great Henwood Park member and general great man in Manfred Neumann.

Since Manfred & Carole moved back to Wagga 3 years ago he was no stranger to the occasional game and always supported them all.
He will be watching down on Henwood Park always.

As we celebrated the life of Life Member and a Founder of Henwood Park FC today, Wens De Jong, caught up with these two legends, Jos Mathot and Les De Jong (Les was was my first ever soccer coach 45yrs ago)

The Team at Alan Harris McDonald are sharing the Memorial Service information on behalf of the family of the Late Wens de Jong. Wens De Jong Clubperson of the Year 🏆

Henwood Park’s Most prestigious award is the Clubperson of the year. With the sad passing of one of our founding fathers Wens, and with the blessing of his family we have named our most prestigious award in honour of him. We know future generations of Henwood Park players will know what this club meant to the De Jong Family.

The Clubperson of the Year is someone who shows passion, dedication, commitment and all round love for Henwood Park FC.

Our 2021 winner was proudly presented to Chris Hart.

It’s with very said news that Wens DeJong passed away yesterday, me and our Henwood Park family wish the the De Jong family all the best at this time

Soon all of Rawlings Park will be under lights for more access to all football players!

Today marks the beginning of a new era for FWW with work starting on the installation of lights at Rawlings Park.
Thanks to JRC Electrical and the assistance of WWCC this project is expected to be completed in the next six weeks just in time for the beginning of the 2020 competition.
This project was a result of a federally funded community sport infrastructure grant of $460000 through the “light up the fields” program.
