On Monday Spanline will commence construction of the new BBQ shelter, near the pump shed. During this time they will use temporary fencing, so please be mindful when walking near the construction site. Spanline will push to have it ready for GF day but there are no guarantees.

Jubilee Park hockey field to get new surface
Wagga Wagga City Council will partner with Wagga Wagga Combined Hockey Association to deliver a project to replace the synthetic surface and shock pad at Noonan Field at Jubilee Park.
Councilโs contribution towards the project will be $310,297, with the Wagga Wagga Combined Hockey Association to contribute $183,000 in cash and fund a further $110,000 through a loan from Council.
This is an important project because the Jubilee Park hockey fields are the only ones to meet competition requirements for the city, and the ability to host major events generates broader economic benefits for Wagga Wagga through increased visitation, accommodation bookings, hospitality expenditure, and associated tourism activity.
The work is anticipated to start during October and should be completed within six months.
๐ EXCITING NEWS FOR WAGGA HOCKEY! ๐
The Board of WWCHA is thrilled to announce that funding for the re-surfacing of Noonan Field has been approved by Wagga Wagga City Council! ๐๐ค
This is something our association members have been waiting a long time for and weโre incredibly excited to see this essential infrastructure project finally become a reality. Those tired legs and muscles are going to be very happy! ๐
๐
It was also very timely that Carolyn Campbell, CEO of Hockey NSW, was in town when the confirmation came through from Council, allowing us to share in the excitement together. ๐ค
Polytan has been engaged as the contractor to undertake the re-surfacing, with works likely to commence at the end of October and be completed well before Christmas. Polytan also completed the resurfacing of Paul Field two years ago.
The Board will now work closely with Wagga Wagga City Council to finalise the details and ensure the project gets underway in late October.
A huge thank you to Wagga Wagga City Council for supporting this important project and investing in the future of hockey in our community. ๐
And of course, thank you to all our members for your patience and support while weโve worked towards making this essential infrastructure development happen.
We canโt wait to see Noonan Field get a well-deserved refresh! ๐โจ
