👇How You Can Improve Net Sessions👇

It’s natural to think the answer to improving your game is by spending more time in the nets.

What makes a good leg spinner?

Here’s our thoughts:

• COURAGE: Bowling leg-spin can be TOUGH, and batters often try to go after you. Having the courage to keep coming back and trying to spin the ball is crucial.

• PLAN: Bowling aimlessly can often lead to more bad balls and a more comfortable time for the opposition. Having a plan to how you are trying to get batters out is important to keeping consistency.

• PATIENCE: It’s very rare that any spinner ‘blasts’ an opposition side out. Having the patience to try and work a batter out over multiple overs is a skill often overlooked in junior cricket especially!

What else do you think makes a good leg-spinner?

💥OFF-SIDE POWER HITTING💥

In junior cricket in particular, you often see teams stack the leg-side boundary with fielders in the final overs of an innings.

This makes the ability to hit the ball over the ring on the offside incredibly valuable.

Watch above as two of our athletes have a crack at lofting the ball over mid-off / cover, and stay tuned for some technical pointers on the skill over the coming week 💪
