NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the Walgett Rugby Union Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held as follows:

Date: Wednesday, 7 October 2026
Time: 6:00pm
Venue: Walgett Sporting Club Dining Room

All members, players, sponsors and supporters are encouraged to attend.

The AGM provides an important opportunity to reflect on the season, have your say, get involved, and help shape the future direction of the Walgett Rugby Union Club.

We look forward to seeing you there as we work together towards another successful season for the Walgett Rugby Union Club.

All positions will be declared vacant and nominations are welcome.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures in our club

Looking back on the season, there was no shortage of expert advice from the sideline… whether it was actually right is another story.

From the cold beers, questionable calls and plenty of passionate opinions, to simply being there supporting the Rams, Ewes and the club, we appreciate all the dads who helped make the season what it was.

Now that the boots are hung up and the season is done, it’s time to sit back, crack a cold one and enjoy the day, you deserve it.

The result didn’t fall our way on Saturday, but that doesn’t take away from what this group achieved throughout the season.

The Rams left everything out on the field and showed the heart, determination and grit that has defined them all year. To make a Grand Final is no small feat, and every player, coach, volunteer and supporter should be incredibly proud.

Thank you to everyone who backed us throughout the season, near and far. While it wasn’t the ending we were chasing, this team has given us plenty to celebrate.

Heads high, Rams. What a season.

A huge congratulations to Hamish Moore on being named Western Plains Player of the Year for the Elders cup competition!

This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment you’ve shown throughout the season.

We are incredibly proud of you and all that you’ve achieved.
