Walking is great — but it’s not the whole answer as we get older.

Strong legs help you get off the toilet. Strong arms help you carry groceries. Strong muscles help you catch yourself when you trip.

That’s what strength training protects.

As we age, building and keeping muscle is what keeps us independent. So yes, walk often… but don’t forget to lift things too. 💪

Funny thing, that, isn't it! It's no coincidence that women who regularly strength train, have reduced menopause and perimenopause symptoms.

It's a huge disservice to women, to align exercise with weight and the way the body looks, when there's so many more benefits. I'm committed to teaching women about the importance of strength training as we age. 💪
