Wangaratta Netball Association provides girls and boys with a safe environment to learn, practice and undertake the art of Netball.

Netball represents a significant part of Wangaratta's vibrant sporting culture. Wangaratta Netball Association was formed in 1937. Today it has over 1400 registered members. WNA runs three main competitions, a Saturday morning competition, Wednesday night competition and a NETSETGO program. The NETSETGO program has 2 tiers. NETSETGO Tier 1 is for players aged between 5 and 7 years old and teaches

Rep Netball Coordinator/s & Head Coach – 2027 Season

Wangaratta Netball Association (WNA) is seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate, experienced and committed netball people to join our 2027 Representative Program as either a Rep Netball Coordinator/s or Head Coach.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about developing players, supporting coaches and contributing to the continued growth and success of representative netball in Wangaratta.

🏐 REP NETBALL COORDINATOR/S

The Rep Netball Coordinator/s will be responsible for the organisation, management and smooth operation of WNA’s Representative Program, playing an important role in supporting our teams and coaches and enhancing the reputation of WNA.

We are looking for candidates with:
β€’ Strong leadership, organisational and decision-making skills
β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
β€’ A high level of integrity, professionalism and reliability
β€’ The ability to work independently and as part of a team
β€’ A sound understanding of netball, including team management and rules
β€’ A passion for player development and representative netball

🏐 HEAD COACH

The Head Coach will play an important role in supporting and developing our Rep Coaches and players throughout the season.

The role will provide:
β€’ Guidance and encouragement to Rep Coaches
β€’ Feedback and support to coaches and players
β€’ Constructive critique and mentoring
β€’ Leadership throughout the player selection process
β€’ Support to the Rep Sub-Committee
β€’ Coaching support and development throughout the season

The Head Coach may also be required to backfill a coaching position if a Rep Coach is unavailable at a tournament.

The Head Coach will be a mentor to our Rep Coaches and is expected to support them in developing players and their coaching skills.

Applicants for the Head Coach position must have:
β€’ A current Netball Australia coaching qualification
β€’ Recent and relevant coaching experience
β€’ Strong leadership and communication skills
β€’ A passion for developing both players and coaches

Successful applicants will need to be available for the following:

πŸ”Ή Rep Trials – Mid to Late October 2026
Dates TBC
Availability for ALL 3 trials is required to assist with the selection process.

πŸ”Ή Wednesday Night Training – February to End of May 2027
Times TBC

πŸ”Ή 5 Sunday Competitions – March to May 2027
