Help wanted at Sailability Toronto, Australia. If you have a few hours to spare of a Thursday or a Saturday a wonderful group of people would love to have you join us.

Our objective is to provide the facilities and personnel to make sailing available to people living with disability in the region we serve; to do so safely and to give them an enjoyable sailing experience. A number of our people with disabilities sail by themselves, but most often, volunteer sailors take our clients sailing. We serve both children (from special schools) and adults with disabilities.

We need more volunteers so please consider joining us. Whether you sail or help onshore it's something you won't regret.

Congratulations to our winter season winners.
Also a lovely morning celebrating the 40th anniversary of the WASC clubhouse. Noel Butler and Todd Wyborn gave us the history of the building. Tony Lang blessed a small fleet as the wind looked menacing. It ended up being a beautiful sail to Galgabba.

RC Yachting

Hi Everyone,

Today we sailed the 10th race day for both the Wangi DF65 fleet and the Wangi DF95 fleet.

The DF65s sailed this morning and there was virtually no breeze at the appointed starting time of 10am. What breeze that existed was vaguely from the SW, but a crowd of moored boats on the Western side of the jetty forced us to sail on the Eastern side and we initially intended to employ a down wind start. However by the time the courts was set the breeze had swung to the NW on its way to the predicted Easterly. The course was quickly adjusted and racing commenced in 0-3 knots.

As racing progressed the breeze kept swinging and eventually settled into the NE-NNE with slightly more strength, although there were still holes. Six races were completed by the finishing time of noon.

Scott dominated with 5 wins. I managed a win and 3 seconds. Murray achieved 3 seconds. Overall Scott won with myself second and Murray third.

After a break for lunch, the DF95s lined up with the breeze still from the NE-NNE with occasional Easterly shifts. Wind strength was in the region of 2-6 knots. 10 races were completed (just) within the time limit.

Scott again dominated with 9 wins (first excursion with new Nick Jerwood Sails), while Lisa won the remaining race and achieved 8 seconds. Garry achieved 2 seconds and 6 thirds. Overall Scott won with Lisa second and Garry third.

RC Yachting (DF95s)

A gnarly breeze, too much for my B Rig keeping me off the water for the first few races but was a chance to get some photos of those with C and D rigs.
