WA State Championships:
Despite us all being Victorian, four Eastside pilots made the trek to WA for their state champs to settle some long lasting rivalries with WA pilots, or just to race new people.
Thanks to a little bit of luck and a lot of skill, Eastside managed to have a clean sweep of all event categories, specifically our knight in shining armour Digsky, who single handedly came first in all 3 categories.
In fact, in the top 6 chase the ace final, all four Eastside pilots featured 😀

The results are as follows:

Unfortunately none of us took home the Western Australian champion trophy, and hopefully none of these pilots leave us to get it.

And in the words of JWebb “commit to dumb gaps, be smooth, don’t use a race quad” (however Digsky did, in fact, use a race quad).

Nationals 2026:
EastsideFPV absolutely dominated AUFPV Nationals this year (came 3rd in club rankings BUT we came 1st in my heart).

Competition was super tough and included world class pilots like FlowerPig from South Korea, Screecher from the USA, and Sloogus from New Zealand, however the victorians definitely held their own this year. We had a whopping 5 pilots in top 16, and 9 pilots in the top 35 of open class, with all 3 of the Australian pilots in the national finals being from Eastside.

We're racing this sunday (26th of April) at Llewellyn park. Come and participate in Eastside 2026 Round 1 which doubles as the regional qualifier!

This is the chance to qualify for the regional final (to be announced very soon) and compete against the best in one of the first races of the spring competition season.

The track for this race is on Velocidrone as 'Eastside regional qualifier 2026' and the video is shown below
