Though the scope of the work of ESA is broad and diverse, the one thing that is at the heart of each activity is to see lives transformed by Christ. At the moment we are especially passionate about reaching people of all ages from country Victoria by running a variety of camps.

Many young people long for friends who will love them just as they are, but friends like this can sometimes be hard to find. At ESA camps, we intentionally foster a culture where young people feel totally safe and accepted by their peers. It's a space where they can put down their phones, let their guard down, and just be themselves. Lifelong, healthy friendships start right here. Set in the quiet beauty of North East Victoria, this 4-day camp offers space to step away from daily noise, go deeper in God's Word, and build firm foundations in faith.
Through practical electives, quiet reflection time in nature, discussions about life, and genuine campfire conversations, teens are supported in asking big questions and growing closer to Jesus alongside a great community.

One of the biggest things we want every camper to know is this: you can come exactly as you are. Whether you've grown up in the church or are just curious about exploring faith for the very first time, there’s a seat at the table for you on our spring camps.
During camp, we have intentional moments like worship, electives, and Bible studies — but there’s absolutely no pressure and no expectations to join in. Today we are sharing a special farewell as we prepare to say goodbye to two incredible members of our team, Christian and Kylie Boscolo, who are finishing up as Pastoral Workers! 💙
Christian’s ESA story goes all the way back to his teenage years as a camper, while Kylie joined the ESA family back in 2011 as a leader. Together, they stepped onto staff in March 2023 after years of faithfully volunteering as leaders, speakers, directors, and cooks!
From pioneering a discipleship camp in North East Victoria to walking alongside youth and watching Year 12 campers step up into junior camp leadership, their passion for developing the next generation has made a lasting impact.
Reflecting on their time on staff, they shared:
"What we've enjoyed most are the people we have worked with (both staff and volunteers) and the relationships formed with people."
As they step into this next season continuing chaplaincy work and completing studies, we are so grateful that they will still be around as volunteers in our ESA family!

Ever wondered what a day at our Yackandandah Teen Discipleship Camp actually looks like? 👀
Yackandandah is structured a little differently than our standard adventure camps—it’s built specifically to give teens (Years 8–12) space to dig deeper, ask big questions, and build firm foundations in their faith. Here’s a sneak peek into a typical day:
🥞 8:00 AM – Breakfast and dedicated individual quiet time in nature to start the day focused on God.
📖 9:30 AM - Morning teaching sessions & study groups exploring God's Word together.
🥪 12:30 PM - Lunch and free time to relax and connect with friends.
💡 1:30 PM - Practical electives & Life Question panels (tackling real questions about topics such as prayer, shame, spiritual habits, and living for Christ).
🎨 3:00 PM - Afternoon tea, leader testimonies, and fun group activities (like T-shirt painting or op shop dress-up nights!).
🍝 6:00 PM - Dinner together with the whole camp family.
🔥 7:00 PM - Evening session, cabin group devotions, and deep chats around a roaring campfire.
🛌 10:00 PM - Heading back to cabins for rest.
Every day is an intentional balance of deep spiritual growth, honest conversation, and genuine community.
