Three things I wish I knew earlier about strength training. 👇
1. Motivation just comes and goes in waves, and it’s important to not rely on it. Here’s what helped me: training with a friend, changing gyms, having a clear goal in place to keep me driven. But mostly find what I enjoyed the most and stay bloody consistent.
2. No one cares what you do in the gym. When I first started training I had a lot of anxiety about people judging me for what I was doing. But I quickly learned that everyone is training for the same reason and no ones is actually watching you. And you aren’t here for them so stop caring about others.
3. My mentality towards training changed. I used to love training and pushing for that pump each session. But I came to conclusion that yeah having a pump is great and you feel good. But what’s better is training to feel good and move freely everyday without pain or discomfort.

Tempo is something that is often overlooked when it comes to training, as we tend to focus on always lifting heavy.
While lifting heavy is still great, but we need to incorporate a mixture of these components as well to really get the most results in the gym✅

While tracking your foods is a much faster process when it comes to fat loss, it is not suited for everyone.
Here's three things you can do if tracking is not for you.👇
Focus on whole nutrient foods like proteins, fruits, vegetables, and complex carbs. These will provide essential nutrients that will help keep you fuller for longer.
Don't cut out your carbs. Prioritise on eating balanced meals that include a combination of protein, healthy fats, and fiber dense carbs. Aim to be having protein in each meal.
Follow a strength training program and train at least 3-5 days a week. While focusing on progressive overload.
Prioritise on quality sleep as this is so underated.

This is Kath, mumma of 3 and an absolute weapon. We’ve been training together for over a year now and Kath has achieved some great results. Kath has been focusing on weight training 3-5 days a week while incorporating running a few times a week. (Even running a half marathon)
Over the past year we have focused on building her muscle mass and she has put on just under 3kilos of muscle. It might sound like it’s not a lot but this is a huge achievement and was done without tracking her foods and still living her normal lifestyle without restrictions.
