We are so humbled to be involved with such an organisation like Sleapyโ€™s Foundation

We thank all those involved with the inaugural event and look forward to the years to come.

To be recognised by Cricket NSW & Cricket Australia is overwhelming and we thank Newcastle Weekly and The University of Newcastle Cricket Club - Seadragons for their support.

A local sporting initiative to support the much-loved Sleapyโ€™s Foundation has bowled over its rivals on the state and national stages.

The first-ever Sleapyโ€™s Cup, an alliance between the Waratah-Mayfield District Cricket Club and The University of Newcastle Cricket Club - Seadragons, enabled the respective organisations to take home the prestigious Cricket NSW Community Partnership Award.

The event was also recognised at the Cricket Australia gala presentation.

๐Ÿ”ด๐Ÿ”ต To wrap up our season 2025/26 awards we would like to congratulate Bill Chard Memorial Trophy and Gary Foster Medal winner Brad Mills-Punshon. Brad has had a huge season on and off the field. He's assisted with scoring first and second grade, served on the committee, helped with covers, player registrations, grant writing and so much more. WMDCC wouldn't be the thriving club that it is without people like Brad. Thank you Brad for all you do and we can't wait to get back on the park with you again in 2026! ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ”ด๐Ÿ”ต John Hay Trophy recipient for commitment to cricket, Liam Wilson has been instrumental in the club's successes this season. He's been a huge presence at training ensuring things run smoothly and on matchday for our first grade squad. Thank you Liam!
