Through Pilates, De is able to build postural alignment & balance. The work we do is providing relief from her symptoms of scoliosis & encouraging much better connection, movement & strength.

Hello 👋🏻 I’m a bit overdue with a ‘Welcome’ to those I haven’t met yet.
It feels appropriate as it’s 4 years this month, since starting W Studio Pilates with the Mummy & Me classes (should they make a come back?!) AND it’s 3 years since opening the doors to my beautiful studio space.
Well, I’m Kirsty, Pilates teacher & owner of W Studio Pilates in Safety Bay, WA.
I have been teaching Pilates for well over a decade, to all sorts of bodies. Pre & Post natal, runners, dancers, office workers, golf enthusiasts, retirees & all in between.
My work has taken me from the UK, Sydney & now Perth for the last 7 years.
Once upon a time I was a dancer & teacher, so love of movement will always be close to my heart.
Contrology, the TRUE Pilates method gives me the greatest joy. Pilates is a system, not just Reformer. There’s Cadillac, Wunda Chair, High Barrel, Electric Chair, Pedi Pole & more…. Springs to connect, strengthen & stretch.
I get to work with the most wonderful clients & see profound neuromuscular changes within such a short time.
Your body wants to function optimally, & when practiced correctly, Pilates can significantly enhance quality of life.

‘The Swan’ on the Wunda Chair ~ balancing on the tiniest of mats with a spring loaded pedal. Challenging you to maintain space & length between your lower trunk & hands.
Nikki here is working so hard to not let the pedal compress her! Beautiful way to work that two way stretch 💫

Mick & I have been working together now for approximately 8 months. Recently attending 2 sessions per week which has made the greatest difference to his running.
As a runner, you need full range of motion & strength through that stride & Mick has worked so hard on both mobility, alignment & core strength.
It’s super important for runners to maintain an upright posture on the road, as well as running efficiently. I look forward to the next 8 months progress ⭐️

Mick & I have enjoyed just seven Pilates sessions together so far, and already you can see the results of a more balanced & elongated body.
The GOAL of Pilates is to create even & balanced muscle function with an integrated powerhouse (or core). This takes stress off the joints & helps generate efficient movement patterns. In Mick’s case, a long-distance runner who will run with more freedom, less injury & power 💫
