WBCC is looking for a few more young cricketers to complete our junior teams for the season:

⭐ 2 players for our Under 11s
⭐ 4 players for our Under 9s

Whether your child has played before or would like to pick up a bat for the very first time, we’d love to welcome them to the club!

Junior cricket is a fantastic way to learn new skills, build confidence, make friends and enjoy being part of a team—all in a fun and supportive environment. No previous experience is necessary; just bring plenty of enthusiasm and a willingness to have a go!

🏏 FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON 🏏

History was made on Sunday as the WBCC Over 50s—our club’s first-ever team to compete in the Hamman Cup—began their campaign against Southern Lakes.

Unfortunately, Southern Lakes proved too strong on the day, but it was fantastic to see the team out on the field, enjoying their cricket and proudly representing WBCC in the competition for the very first time.

Congratulations to Dave Gillies, who was named Player of the Match for his outstanding contribution! 👏

A special shout-out also goes to Usman Asghar, who generously gave up his time to come down, support the team and take care of the scoring. Your help was greatly appreciated!

The result may not have gone our way, but the sun was shining, the cricket was back and a new chapter in WBCC history was officially underway. A top day with a top group—we wish the team all the very best for the rest of the season! 🏏

🏏 The season is officially underway!

On Saturday night, we launched the new season in style at Charlestown Golf Club, joined by our very special guest, the one and only Kerry O’Keeffe.

Kerry’s stories, humour and unmistakable laugh made it a night to remember—and we were delighted to officially welcome him into the WBCC family by presenting him with his very own personalised playing jersey!

A massive thank you to our incredible sponsors, whose ongoing generosity and support make everything we do possible. We’re extremely proud to have such a wonderful group of businesses and people backing our club, and we look forward to representing you throughout the season.

Thank you also to Charlestown Golf Club for hosting us and providing the perfect setting for such a fantastic evening, to everyone who attended and created a brilliant atmosphere, and to our executive committee for the time and effort that went into organising such a successful event.
