Sorry folks. Saturday a few of the boys backed up from Fridays publicans day and a few who missed out teed off for a crack at our Patron's Trophy (par comp).
While Nuts wasn't available to join us for his day we made the most of the weather and how awesome the course is.
Winner for the day was Luke Thompson +3, runner up Warren Wilkinson +1, 3rd Rylan Goodes all square.
That's pretty much it for our programmed golf for 2026. We will still be mowing and playing Tuesdays 9:30am for 10am start and Saturdays 12pm for 12:30 starts for the next few weeks. October long weekend looks like will be our final round for 2026 before we let the course grow out to seed ready for 2027.

Yesterday we hosted the Warooka Hotel publicans day. With a change of date to try and get some nicer weather it certainly turned on an awesome day. No wind and clear blue skies made for some good scoring. This year's event was a little bit more special as it is the last year Rob and Frieda Appleton will be here as publicans as they are moving on. We cannot thank them enough for their support over the last 5 years and Rob has promised us he will be back to play golf with us soon.
65 players across 17 teams played this year and it was great seeing everyone out there.
Results from yesterday. All these scores are after handicap.
Winners of the day was Icicool 1 with a 52.5, 2nd place was Alex Golja's team on 56, 3rd Trent Hayes 1 with 56.9, 4th Yorketown Golf Club on 57 and 5th place was Moorowie MudCrabs on 57.4.
We will catch you all again next year.

Righto Lads and Ladettes. Warooka Publicans day is on this Friday and there is still time to get your team together and let Rob know at the Warooka Hotel. The weather is looking great and the course is in awesome condition. Please note the tee off time is *10am* not 11am. Bacon and eggs will be on the BBQ from 9am, Beers will be cold and ready to go, so there should be no excuses for not getting out there.

Yesterday 4 of our Ladies headed up to Ardrossan for the Champion of Champions event.
After 27 holes scoring 121(83 and 38) Jenelle Tooze found herself in a 3 hole playoff for the A Grade against Katrice Hann and from all accounts it was close until the very last hole. Holding her nerves together Jenelle got the win and has come home as A Grade Champion for 2026.
Fiona Bilney also had a great day in the C Grade with an absolutely great round and 44 pts to be pipped at the post by Lesley Piggot with 47pts. Kerry Hage also had a great day with 34pts.
Well done to all our Ladies this year. It great to see we are getting plenty of silverware at the events we travel too.

Only four teed off today for a stableford comp, many away for the footy and Champion of champions. To be fair the wind forecast wasn't very enticing for Warooka.

So PROUD of our 3 champions Adam, Fred and Roy playing in the "Champion of Champions" today at Ardrossan Golf Club
Congratulations to Roy Dick winning the C Grade, Adam Murdock for runner up in the A Grade and Fred Hendry coming third in the B Grade(in a play off). The club also came third in the Promnitz shield.
We are a small club with some very talented boys, congratulations.

Loving our Bubbles and Bash Crew, we played 3 holes and then had a chipping comp at the end. So lovely to have Fred Hendry Ian Hage and Will Murdoch join us for a drink after.
