โค๏ธ๐คOUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN โค๏ธ๐ค
On behalf of the Warrandyte Football Club and Warrandyte Junior Football Club, it is with the heaviest of hearts and overwhelming sadness that we share the devastating news of the sudden and unexpected passing of our much-loved Dale Vitiritti.
To say this is an enormous loss to both our clubs and the entire Warrandyte community is an understatement.
Affectionately known as Vits, Dale was an absolute legend of our clubs. A man with an enormous heart, a larger-than-life presence and an unwavering love for the mighty Bloods.
Dale gave so much of himself to our football community, both on and off the field. He was always there, always willing to lend a hand, and tirelessly volunteered his time to support the clubs and the people he cared so deeply about.
His contribution and achievements were extraordinary:
โค๏ธ Over 300 games for the Bloods
๐ค Warrandyte Football Club Life Member
โค๏ธ Warrandyte Junior Football Club Life Member
๐ค EFNL 300-Game Player Life Member
โค๏ธ Club record holder for the most premierships as a player โ 1993, 1999 and 2006
๐ค Named in the Club's Team of the Decade
โค๏ธ Recipient of numerous club awards
๐ค Coached two Division 1 Youth Premierships
โค๏ธ Dedicated Junior Football Club Committee Member
Beyond the games, premierships and accolades, Dale's greatest pride was undoubtedly his family.
Alongside him was his wife Karina, his partner in life and in all things football, sharing his unwavering commitment to the Bloods. Together, they were enormously proud to see their daughters, Zara and Chanelle, wearing the red and white and representing the club that meant so much to their family.
In 2026, both girls played in our Women's Senior Grand Final, while Zara was also part of our Youth Girls Premiership team, coached by her very proud dad.
What an incredibly special memory for this beautiful family to treasure forever.
Vits wasn't just part of our football clubs. He was part of their heart and soul.
His loyalty, generosity, passion and dedication to the Bloods will never be forgotten. From pulling on the jumper himself to coaching our next generation, serving on committees and giving countless hours behind the scenes, Dale's commitment to our clubs was nothing short of extraordinary.
He didn't just play football at Warrandyte. He helped shape the very fabric of our clubs, leaving a legacy that will live on through the generations of players, families and friends whose lives he touched.
Today, our entire Bloods family is grieving.
To Dale's beautiful wife Karina, his daughters Zara and Chanelle, and all his family and friends, we wrap our arms around you and send you every ounce of love and strength during this unimaginable time.
Dale, thank you for everything you gave to our clubs, our players, our young people and our community. We are all so much richer for having had you in our lives.
Rest peacefully, Vits. You were one of a kind, and our football community will never quite be the same without you.
โค๏ธ๐ค Once a Blood, always a Blood. โค๏ธ๐ค
