Warwick State High School year 11 student Harry Dangerfield has won his first national medal at his fourth national swimming championships. The multi-class swimmer was sixth in 50m backstroke, ninth in freestyle and won bronze in the mixed relay at the nationals.

Earlier in the year, he won silver in freestyle and bronze in backstroke in the 17-19 years age group in the Queensland Swimming Championships.

A member of the Warwick Swimming Club, Harry has made the Australian
team to go to the World Asia Oceania Games in Thailand in February next year.
He is an achiever in all sports and won his age group shot put in athletics at the regional championships with a throw of 5.89 metres.

Harry has now qualified for the State championships in Brisbane in October. Congratulations Harry! 👏🏻🏊🏼‍♂️

The 2026 Fairholme Aquatics Swim Club Time and Technique meet is now open on swim central.
This is a tremendous opportunity for the developing swimmers in our region to compete in a very unique way. Nominate now via Swim Central.
This meet will follow the DDRSA JX Clinic.
This Clinic will provide skills and drills, plus dryland training for the Regions JX qualified swimmers.
