We couldn’t let Father’s Day go by without celebrating the dads who lift heavy things, give unsolicited training advice and somehow think the same joke gets funnier every time they tell it.
So, in honour of dads everywhere, we’ve put together some of our finest gym-themed dad jokes.
And by “finest”, we mean absolutely terrible.
Happy Father’s Day from the Ironside crew. 🖤

🌟 Introducing Sponsored Athlete, Benji! 🌟
For Benji, becoming an athlete isn’t a new ambition.
It’s something he’s been working towards since he was a kid.
Now, as an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) athlete, he’s putting in the work to develop his skills, compete at a higher level and see just how far he can take it.
As an Ironside sponsored athlete, Benji has access to the equipment, facilities and training environment he needs to keep progressing, along with a team that’s firmly behind where he wants to go.
In Benji’s words:
“I’ve always pushed to be an athlete since I was little. This is my boat to set sail.”
And we’re really proud to be on board for the ride. 💪

There comes a time in life when the group chat changes.
Less “where are we going Saturday night?”
More “what protein are you using?”
“Are you taking creatine?”
“How much are you lifting?”
And the occasional unsolicited update about someone’s sleep score from their Oura ring.
But we say bring it! Getting older doesn’t mean accepting getting weaker.
Train hard. Eat well. Build muscle. Stay strong.
And accept this is what fun looks like now. 💪

We never wanted to create just another gym.
We wanted to create a place you actually want to walk into.
A place to move your body, clear your head, have a laugh, feel supported and leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Some days you’ll come here to get stronger physically.
Other days, just showing up is the win.
Ironside is more than a place to train. It’s your people, your outlet and your safe place. 💪🖤

🌟 Introducing Sponsored Athlete, Brydie! 🌟
At just 17 years old, Brydie is already balancing two demanding sports - competing in roping and barrel racing with the National Rodeo Association while also playing rugby league.
Success in both takes more than talent. It takes discipline, strength and a commitment to continually improving.
That's why Brydie is part of the Ironside Industry Athlete Sponsorship Program.
When she's not competing, you'll find her in the gym building the strength, fitness and resilience that helps her perform at her best, whether she's in the arena or on the football field.
We're proud to support dedicated young athletes like Brydie as they chase their goals, push their limits and represent regional Queensland with determination and grit.
We can't wait to follow your journey, Brydie! 💙
